console sale price?

So now that the game is basically worth $29.99....will console versions now be reduced to match? I know they said that steam was a weekend only deal however it is still showing the buy option at 50% off. So I was wondering if the console versions will now be reduced as well????

That's amazing that so many people don't think this will make console...there's actually no reason it wouldnt...I mean it's not like it's too demanding for the hardware of consoles. And being that console sales alone would double sales...it's going to come out for consoles. They could actually take out Cyodil for consoles and release it.

To OP: I'd bet my life it releases at $60, whenever that is. I don't know why you would ever want to buy it for a console though.

It will be $60 but since MMO's make more money on subs than on sales It will most likely go on sale not too long after the initial buzz dies down, then once the sales over it will go back up to $60.

I paid 100$ for the physical CE edition, I hope it does not reduce the price.

They stated back in June they needed an additional 6 months of development to 'polish' the console version. We have heard nothing about the console release other than the obligatory, we are still working on it.

There is no way that this game goes to console this year or first quarter of next year.

Steam is back to $59.99 now.

They stated back when they had to do the delay that the only thing that is delaying it has to do with server and communication issues. It will come out in December.

that's the choice you make when you buy on release.

i got the digital version myself with the early release stuff, i wanted to play as soon as i could.

i know in the end i paid more for the initial investment, but i wont begrudge those who wait because of a choice i knowingly made.

Prices ALWAYS go down on new purchases, simply because they are no longer new after a few days, let alone a few months or years.

that said, the console release will effectively be a "new game" for the consoles, so yes they will be at "new game" price at $59.99.

that's the way the games industry market is allowed to get away with working.
