Hello,
I have a question about stacking up, DOT "fire damage over time.
Is that inflicts Fire damage skills stack up together or inflict damage people.
I mean:
-Searing Strike
-Fiery Breath

Thank you for your help and best regards.

I have wondered this myself. Should I use Searing Strike a few times quickly or hit them once with that and then use other skills. While I hate all the flying numbers from the TFC (?) mod, I may have to turn those on to see. With large mobs I tend to hit each one with Searing Strike them move around while they sizzle, then hit them with Flame whip thing (I can't keep all these skill names straight...) and that seems to do the trick. When I am tanking, I use Sea of Flames and Searing Strike on each enemy in turn while Blocking. Barely lose any health that way.

Searing strike dot stacks with fiery breath dot. Each skill that comes with a dot has it's own unique dot and will stack with other skill dots.

Take searing strike for example. The dot from searing strike is not a "fire dot" it is a dot called "unstable flame"* that does fire type damage.

    (*name may vary by morph)

I figured different skills would stack, but what about a double hit with one skill. Do you only get the initial damage twice but roughly the same amount of DOT as one hit (keeping in mind the first DOT would do some damage before the second application of the skill). Or, do we also get twice the DOT damage also?

I haven't checked this but I would be very surprised if the same ability stack. My assumption is that the second application will replace the existing dot with a longer duration.

EDIT: And with "longer duration" I mean it will reset it to the full duration. Duration won't stack either.

I thought it was stated somewhere before release that same attacks dont stack, so also when playing with other people, if you apply an unstable flame, and another guy places it to, he will overwrite your US, but dont know how it is with morphs, if for example someone took burning embers, will BE overwrite US...?

I refuse to turn on the flying numbers from TFC but I have noticed mobs dieing faster if I rotate the skills being applied. Wall of Elements, then Pulse, then Mages Fury on individuals who are left takes them out quicker than spamming anyone of the skills. So, it could all be placebo or the different mobs. But I am having fun and not running out of Mana, so it's all good.
