That will be good option, to inspect player Achievements or post your own Account sum Achievements on the Web/Forum.

If it's to view the style only, fine.

    Otherwise:
    • /whisper
    • /say
    • /zone
    • /figureitout

If you want to know about someone's gear, ask.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

IRL'ing for a while for assorted reasons, in forum, and in game.
I am neither warm, nor fuzzy...
Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS

For those who believe that there is no elitism on the game, you are very mistaken.

Until the game is a mature place to play, this sort of command would be a huge mistake. And I will define mature by the following: No spamming skills, no running around unclothed, no trolling and no elitism,. Until then, such a command is a horrid idea.

I do agree that the best way of finding out any information is to ask if it is that important to you.

And just an FYI, I don't use the purple staff that I picked up in trails because my gold player crafted one hits for more damage and matches my set. This is how it should be on a game that encourages crafting.

Because we all know from the incredibly friendly community in the biggest MMO in the world that Achievements are a clear indicator of a skillful player .. just like GearScore .. and the only reason you're told to link your "'chieves" is because the group leader in genuinely interested in what you've done in game and there's no chance you'll be /kick-ed if your achievement total doesn't meet a threshold, no sir!

In any case, we don't need that here, we'll soon have your CP count to allow the elitists to filter out the 'casuals' from their groups.

Well, if anything this game seems like it has a lot of players who want to be carried through hard content? Or why are people worried about getting kicked from groups exactly? I mean, I've been kicked from Trial groups because people are idiots.. like I once decided to join a PUG back when my DK was just newly leveled and I didn't have the achievement on that character. I told them, well, you can check my main and my position on the leaderboard but I'm not going to bother relogging to link it.. kicked. :D But really, did I mind being kicked by a group of morons? Nah, I'm happier not having to carry them because it's more than likely they themselves are crap and thus need to vet everyone else to even get through it. I've seen people try and PUG for SO and linking their UNCOMPLETED achievements just hoping no one will check.. that stupidity is already here and inspect will neither make it worse nor better, because stupid people are stupid and they will always exist.

I'd like inspect just because it would help me see how my group performs and why. It's the same thing with DPS meters, if no one would use DPS meters, how could you possibly know why you are failing DPS checks (like Varlariel)? It will always be because half your group is pulling <300 DPS. Probably because they decided that non-set heavy armor and DW was good for a Magicka/Stamina hybrid DPS. If they don't do the 500 DPS that is required by everyone for it to even be possible to get through that fight, do they still have the right to complete it by being carried through by people who do 1,4K?

I've seen enough fights where one person does the job of four others. If that makes me elitist now, then so be it.. Anyway, I'm not a mean person so I don't kick people from PUGs.. If I do PUGs I just assume that half the group is incompetent and make sure the other half can still finish it. It would still be nice to have inspect to see approximately how good the rest of the group needs to be to make up for these people :#

My experience with this game is that there really isn't enough interest in the content in question let alone in performance markers to even warrant this feature, really.

I personally used inspect all the time in other MMOs I have played which had this feature, since it is indeed very helpful to know at least what potential is there based on gear set up and stat choices, so I understand very well what you mean --- but as I am sure you know perfectly well, that potential is all you can see.

It is never a sure fire way to know and it does not equate with player ability - especially in games where there may be end game gear/weapons on a given player which were bought rather than won from doing the instances themselves. I have been in PuGs in other games where someone massively undergeared was just amazing, and I was only too happy to see him/her get some decent gear fromt the effort. Yeah, the instance definitely took us longer, but we still got there. Optimal compostion of groups is yes, faster - but does not necessarily equate with "more fun" - at least not for me.

If I want optimal, I don't PuG period. I go with people whose performance I know and trust, where builds and gear are never a worry since we all talk about them all the time.

As is, it is very doubtful that the feature would ever be added here since this is a game which simply does not seem to be invested around that kind of modus.

I will admit there were times that I wanted to see what a person was wearing just out of curiosity. I am not to concern about the elitist thing on this game because lets face it with crafter gear you can have pretty good gear without ever doing a dungeon. Good enough gear to get you through a dungeon or trial or whatever in this game. Yes it would be preferred to have at least one 5 set of dropped gear and a 5 set of crafted gear but all crafter is good enough.

Now the thing that I am worried about is the griefers out there that will inspect your gear and the start talking sh__ about it in zone chat just to be an a__. I am sure everyone has see things like that in other games. "Hey so-and-so what are you thinking wearing 3 pieces of light gear with 4 pieces of heavy gear. You're an idiot. Learn to build a character." Or, whatever other thing they can find on someones character to harass them about in zone chat. We don't need that in this game so lets leave it out.

There is elitist grouping already - they can (and very often do) ask to show weapon/achievment, so for end game it does not matter a lot. It just would be good to inspect other for all average players who could see what others are using.
