If you're going to change the voiceover, change all of it.

Added lines for immersion, great. Slight changes in wording, fine.

However, if you're going to change the voice of an NPC, either find one that semi-matches the original, or change all of the lines.

The clothier in Vulkel Guard, and an Orc (merchant or bar patron, I think) in DF somewhere...first line is the usual voice, second line, he turns into Barry White.

On the orc, maybe the Sujamma finally kicked in? On the elf, it just doesn't fit.

There are a couple others too, though I don't recall their location. The inflection and tone is similar, but the accent changes. One line is Jamacian, next is suddenly Irish.

Either is fine, but unless the NPC has multiple personality disorder, I would think they would want consistency.

(Ahead of time, this is not a slam on any group of people - I'm great with the diversity of characters represented in the game. I just don't want diversity in a single NPC conversation.)
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

Earn it.

    Agreed:
I've noticed several places where they either changed the voice in the middle of a conversation to something completely incongruous, or just substituted in a voice that sounded like a totally different guy.

    and On a side note:
Didn't 'Glaras', the leader of the 'Bracken-leaf Briers' originally have an eye patch?

The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

I only noticed this in one NPC , an orc quest giver.

Now mind you , i dont usually notice small changes , but it was so absurd , that i could not help but notice.

It is two completely different voice actors speaking for sure.

I found quite a few NPCs with this voice over problem and made /bug reports in-game. I hope everyone makes /bug reports when they find errors. It's the best way to get the problems to ZOS.
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

The couple that I have come across it is the same voice actor, but clearly made with different recording sessions. It does not take much of a change in the room used or the microphones or upstream audio processing to dramatically change the voice quality, sound and timbre.

I think one of the dialogs, a quest giver, did have two different actors. So, at least they fixed the problem, just not in an elegant way. It could also be that the original voice acting was where the actors traveled to a place, but with any fixes or or changes, they recorded the sounds local to them.

Then again to me, Voice Acting should always be left to generic utterances and world responses, quest or lore dialog should be text. It can allow for more depth to the story and prose, and give a richer world feel
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
