Native flora and fauna in this game

I was under the impression that things like guar, alits, luminus russella, presumably pony guar and shalk were NATIVE to morrowind. there are a heap of things like this not just morrowind related. do they really not give a ____ about the lore so much they dont even care to do these things right?

EDIT: also where is all the marshmerrow in morrowind that was like the go to alchemy thing there and they even ate it as food

i guess domestic guars make sense as long as they are only found wild in morrowind areas etc
