Suggestion - Bazaar

Spamming /zone with random miscellaneous items nobody would ever want, especially for that price gets old. Auction Houses would destroy the communication and sense of community one gains when actually dealing with individual players or guilds. And last, but not least, the guild trading posts just seems a bit incomplete, lack it is missing something.

My proposal, having a form of bazaar. There was a game many years ago, Silkroad Online, that relied heavily on trading. Not to go into details of the game itself, but the way their system worked was an individual player could set-up a Bazaar in a main city then go AFK and players could walk by and see the signs floating over their head and decide if it was worthwhile to stop and browse their wares.

Now my proposal would be -
1) Have designated locations so that lowbies aren't lining the streets
2) Have rental fees / taxes based on the cities
3) Have larger squares for richer players or guilds to rent as a whole
4) Allow players to purchase said locations and receive said taxes or rentals from other players
5) Have some locations set up shop in areas outside of cities for 0% taxes and very minimal rental fees
6) Allow the player to hire out an NPC on top of the rental fee for the Bazaar to do their selling for them
7) Let the player customize their Bazaar with trophies / dyes / name and allow players to set up a show-case of their items
The above list is what could go into the game in a patch as of now

Future proposals - With player housing, also allow player stores
1) The player would not need to pay a Rental, and allow the taxes to go directly out of sales
2) The player would have to pay a weekly amount of *Ownership* tax to the city they are located
3) If located outside of the city, they do not have to worry about said tax
4) Allow players to organize how said shop is set-up
5) Probably the most important thing, allow the player to design the heraldry for their sign

Now it is an absolute long-shot that these will go in-game anytime soon. Hopefully some of you agree with me and this thread will actually get some attention. Thank you for bearing with me in this novel of a post.

lol no offense but this is an MMO they already are putting in merchants for guilds. But, no matter what they do people will use zone chat to sell stuff, looking for groups, and everything else. Just have to get used to it or ignore it or turn zone chat off
When asked what he would do for a Klondike bar. Grand Moff Tarkin said "why I would blow up Alderaan."

And it's the same ones, over and over again selling the same items!

I admit i did this a lot in the beginning, but it got old very fast. Now i just use guildstores to sell my stuff.

I honestly have zone chat turned off. I was just saying it is ineffective as a means to sale items aswell as it is a nuisance to others. Guildstores are alright within the guild but with previous games Bazaars are a lot more spread out, require upkeep, and are just an easier means. The player actually had to be present to run his bazaar or pay about 3x the gold amount for it automated. /trade would be flooded almost instantaneously assuming it was Faction wide and not /zone wide, and if it weren't it would be useless. Think of /world or /Lookingforgroup of previous games. They basically became the channel for gold sellers, guild recruiters, and children. A bazaar, you set it up, advertise it, and socialize with your guild or watch some Netflix. Each bazaar location could be its own little instance on the megaserver preventing massive overload and allowing players to be inactive for longer periods without a disconnection. I always loved the bazaars, some people would rent little cheap wooden shanty ones and have legendary items places all around it, others would decorate theirs per season. It was an interesting feature to say the least.

And on the other hand, it could also be a means of guild recruitment. I hadn't seen this in a prior game, but imagine if you could set up a table with your guild heraldry hanging proud around it, your name strung across a banner, and a massive Daedroth head placed beside you. Yeah, sounds a lot better than spamming chat eyyyy guize join meh guildz.
