Dungeon re-spawn timers

I was dungeon crawling last night and noticed something that maybe I have just never paid attention too.....

The re-spawn times are insane.... literally just a few seconds... as a level 29 DW NB, I found that I could stay in a very small area where there was a spawn of 2-3 and another spawn of 2 just a few feet away.... by the time I killed one spawn, the other would have already re-spawned.... it was simply non-stop killing for hours as fast as my character could possibly kill. Is this a normal pattern?

Plus there is a random chest spawn, anywhere from simple to advanced... same place, a chest spawned twice within 20 seconds.... simple the first time and advanced the second.

It just seemed to me that the re-spawn rate was incredibly fast...not that I am complaining... I had a blast killing stuff over and over.... but do all dungeons re-spawn that fast? I never noticed it before but then again I never usually sit in one spot for an extended period of time.

    Respawn in all public areas are based on activity. The more people killing, harvesting etc, the faster the respawn timer.

    Yeah.... but I was by myself 95% of the time, unless there were other people somewhere else in the dungeon... I play in off hours... usually not a lot of people online.

    Dungeon or delve? I haven't ever seen respawns that fast in a pub dungeon, even with tons of people there, and I spent last 3 weeks doing the bosses.

    Some delves seem to have have crazy fast respawns even if nobody else is there. Should probably /bug it.

    For the main boss in a dungeon, the respawn timer is 5 minutes. If you kill the boss and someone else comes along that hasn't killed that boss before, it spawns within 2 minutes. If someone else comes along that already HAS killed that boss before, the timer is still 5 minutes.

    By the way, when you kill a boss in a dungeon (or overland) and get loot or a unique drop, you can't get that drop again for 10 minutes. If you kill the boss again when it respawns in 5 minutes, you don't get squat except for a few gold.

    Well, bosses take FOREVER to respawn, run up, cant get in combat before you see someone kill one, enjoy your ten minute wait.

    Wait to you try the 'rare' ones in the Cyrodiil dungeons. Some have 90 min respawn timers, but if you spot someone who just killed it, your might be lucky and be able to kill the player instead.

    Actually they don't. Respawn is about 10 mins. Public dungeons and Cyrodil delves have a set number of bosses that can be up at a time (1 or 2 depending on total boss count) Kill the bosses that are up to spawn the ones that aren't (same guy may spawn again). Non-Cyrodil delves have 1 boss that respawns pretty quickly depending on number of people in delve.
