Do you care about lore?

So after reading the comments from the lastest poll, Which race would you like to see?
(http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/121283/which-race-would-you-like-to-see-on-teso-and-why/p1), I saw that a lot of people care about the lore. This may not be a new thing to TES players, but in all MMOs the lore fans are very low. Not many even care about lore. I'm very glad to see a lot of ESO players do care about lore. It does make ZoS's job harder with new content though.

Welcome to TES games OP. Many TES players care about the lore. Even if they can't quote the many volumes of The Real Barenziah verbatim, they probably still care about the lore.

I definitely care about the lore. In fact, I'm not really an MMO guy, and the only thing that made me want to check this one out was the fact that it said "Elder Scrolls" on it. Definitely not regretting that decision so far.

The only lore that matters is the lore of the khajiit. You elves and men need to get off my island. The lizards can stay, so long as they promise to remain lusty.

I love TES lore, I love how it's written by fallible characters in the game world, how it can contradict itself or even be wrong at times, just like RL.

I am not roleplayer, but without the FANTASTIC LORE of ESO.....ESO wouldnt attract HALF as many players as it is.

    Like it or not.

LORE is very important. Every single book I've read made sense! Nothing is just jibbrish!

To refine my response a little, I do not know the ES lore well enough to tell whether it is being adhered to or not; however, I do like to see some sort of consistency of setting, technology, races, etc. Orcs suddenly riding around on choppers and goblins driving cars through their steampunk town were some of the things that turned me off to WoW, for example. Aside from my own take on lore, I can certainly sympathize with those who've known and enjoyed ES lore for some time and who therefore favor an even narrower interpretation.

Yes , lore is one of the important parts in TES.

I would not say i research it deeply , trying to know all the details ...

But i do like to see it , quite enjoyed learning about the races while doing the quests and so on.

I care about the lore, I read about it, I read all the quests and enjoy it. But I am not a 'stickler' for the lore if people want to deviate from it a little bit.

I know/care far too much about the lore than I should readily admit. That being said, ZOS has done a fair job thus far, IMO, with staying within the confines of the lore to create the experience they desire.

Huge trite assumption I disagree with. Lore and storyline have always been fairly important and of interest to myself and the PvE folks I've guilded with. Please don't try to further crimp open the supposed divide between players who have mainly a background of pc MMO's and those who have primarily played single player games.

I have plenty of friends who played the ES games and while they may read some of the lore, they were most interested in their armor, stats, the huge map/exploring and/or combat.

Really, MMO'rs can read too and may even, *gasp, enjoy and actually be able to immerse themselves in the lore AT THE SAME TIME THEY ENJOY BEING COMPETITIVE!!

This one must agree on one's point. Khajiit is only interested in lore of khajiit, all man and mer are the same to this one.

On another note, khajiit does enjoy picking up volumes of "the lusty argonian maid."

Personally , i only ever cared about lore in 3 MMOs , TES/SW:TOR/GW2.

Outside these 3 , i really never even tried to learn the lore of other MMOs , which includes WoW , my friends seem to like the lore there.
