Add a "preserve" tab to the inventory, please

And just as we can right click an item and select "mark as junk", add an option to right click and select "mark for preservation".
Items in the preserve tab do not appear when selling to a vendor or using the deconstruct interfaces in the game.

So tired of having to be overly careful not to accidently vendor or decon my secondary gear or trait research gear when getting rid of all the crap drops that clog up my inventory.

Why do we even have to right-click and click again stuff, let us just drag and drop items between junk/material/preserve and normal categories.

I'd prefer 'mark for crafting' so I can isolate armour and weapons from my armour and weapons tabs as I pick them up.

I'm sure we have all deconstructed the odd item by mistake but selling something you want to keep can already be rectified in game with the buy back tab. I usually only sell items from my junk tab now, which adds another level of security to selling.

Thankfully, this issue more or less goes away once you no longer have to decon to craft levelling. All whites and greens get sold and I would probably sell blues too if their value reflected their quality better.

Would really make things more manageable.

Being able to mark for decon and research would be really great, too. I think I accidentally deconned a research item in the bank by accident the other day. But I didn't notice my paper list being wrong till later so I'm not entirely sure.

Would be really really nice to be able to flag items for things other than just junk.

Or even some indication of traits trained on an item. Like you have on food recipes. Learned or not yet learned.

until they get around to adding this <if they do> might want to consider Item Saver, its an addon that you can mark items to save. can filter it so they dont show up in the decon windows or at merchants to sell.

While I have finally learned all of the traits (Across 4 toons, but in process of consolidating on one) I whole heartedly AGREE with and SUPPORT the OPs request. I can't count how many times I accidently deconstructed an item. I've submitted several suggestions in this regard - even a check box that would prevent something from being destroyed in this fashion.
