New Content vs. Fix the Existing

Don't get me wrong I like new content, but as my guild was in Cyrodiil today on Wabba a thought was expressed that it might be nice if ZOS fixed the existing issues first, instead of rolling out new content(which we all know will make existing list of broken things, even lengthier - come on, it's ZOS).

I'll be the first to admit that FPS issues have improved since the last hotfix, but it should never have been broken in the first place - let's just talk about the megaserver today. There were times where the server lag was so bad, I would cast a spell and there was no response, no animation, nothing, ever - but I could move - just no functionality and my guild reported the same. FPS still tanks at times, and hard. Keep doors still get bugged, frequent disconnects and difficulty logging back in too - I'm tired of being told relogging is the resolution for everything, or my add-ons are the problem - I turn them off in pvp. For the last time ZOS, relogging and/or "/reloadui" is a lazy work-around, not a solution.

I love ESO pvp when it works. I just want the game to work as it should, not as it currently does.

They have to be done side by side. Don't fix anything, a certain portion of affected customer base will leave. Don't add anything new, a certain portion of bored customer base will leave.

It's easy for those who are affected harshly by bugs or poor game design to prioritize their preference above others. Just as it's easy for those who aren't bugged by bugs (and there are many of us) to think that new content should be put in first, above fixes.

So do both, like they are. At least one new patch with a variety of bug, quest and mechanic fixes/changes each week (except this one, which was weird). Every six weeks a new patch that not only includes some more fixes, but at least some new content as well.

If anything, the balance is more to fixes than content at this point. But I'll admit, over the last three months, my bugs went from many, to almost none at all. Still can't do PvP well, but that's from having a poor machine, not from any bugs I know of.
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

This seems to be pretty standard in MMO's.

Yeah, its great that they are adding new spells and skill lines, but considering so many current abilities and passives are bugged or plain dont work...

How can we get excited about new stuff? Fix the stuff already in the game damnit!
