AP for siege weapons use?

Aloha!
Some days ago I wanted to learn a bit more about earning AP and took a closer look at my "account". And then, something catched my eye I don't really understand.
While defending Sejanus Outpost I put up my oils at the usual spots. After that I left group, encouraging everyone to use them (due to my wish not to be overrun by the village militia of Bananaville
). And then I took a look at my AP gaining progress. Well, there was none. Even though ppl used my siege oils and seriously grilled the yellow folks (until we actually were overrun 
)I didn't get any AP.
Might someone please explain to me why? Isn't it meant to count towards my success if people use my provided siege engines to kill other players?
Please, don't missunderstand me. I really like to provide those oils or whatever is needed if it helps to win the fight. And there is no jealousy if others kill and "triumph" with them. But for what it's worth I bought them with my previously earned AP (counts especially for the oils since you can't buy them for gold) and that should count from my point of view.
Or did I just miss the fact that I earned AP by other ppl using my sieges? maybe I was tired and not concentrated at all while staring at my monitor...
