✭✭✭✭Honestly, the panel was great. I played GW2 for a long time, and I saw more substance in the future of ESO panel than GW2 has produced the entire time that it has been out.

Caroloces✭✭✭✭✭The overall impression I got from the discussion is that it is being shaped up to be a true Elder Scrolls game. I mean the constellation of skills that you can unlock with Champion points looks an awful lot like the Skyrim progression. I loved the subtle reference to the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild.

They add a new AV, but also a solo AV. So we get two AV´s, one in the orcish winter Skyrim layout and the other in the Argonian style.
Spell crafting looks fantastic, the Champion system indicates to be what WS and Skyrim made so fun - also that you actually have to play to get those spell tablets is a great idea.
We will be able to rob NPCs, even kill them - we can become guards and maybe even get the bounty if we find a thief, it really sounds great.
They only didn't speak about crafting, that's the only concern I have. With the new items coming, it might become less worthy - but this needs to be seen, maybe I only missed the crafting part?2 -
bruceb14_ESO5✭✭✭Looked great to me. I've brought up relooking at the Road Ahead because of Quality Assurance issues, yet some of the QA stuff was touched on. The panel for the most part did not do the political rhetoric but brought forth specifics and exciting positive changes to the game. PVP and PVE and that they are linked, not completely separate entities.

Art Changes (QA included)
Veteran System overhaul
Justice System

You might actually want to watch the video, there is some nice stuff to see. Like the new facial animations, new armors, new zones, justice system at work etc.

I suppose that I wasn't clear. By substance, I meant that that the ESO future updates look real/substantial compared to GW2, which spent the first year and a quarter adding nothing but temporary content and cosmetic items. It took them more than a year to add a new zone to WvW, and we are getting a new AvA zone relatively soon.

Well they showed Glass, which is probably crafted.
They also showed crafted PVP armor... I think (I think you had to hold part of imperial city to craft it).
They also showed prototypes of armor bits made out of daedric boss bits (mostly helmets and a few shoulder-pads(looks early in production). Not sure how crafted that would be.
I would suspect all tee thieves guild, morag tong and undaunted armors would be crafted rather than on some NPC vendor, or just as quest rewards (because few people would want the default stats, traits or whatever)...
Nobody said the motifs would be furniture drops, and I suspect they won't be.3 -

✭I have been a bit down on ESO lately because I haven't been that happy with the "end game" among other things (including the mass exodus of players in my guild). I had quite low expectations for what I would see in that panel but I have to say it has me really excited for the future of ESO now. Some really nice changes and additions to look forward to and I think it might even reverse the trend of some of that exodus I have been seeing.
