Hidden>shadowy disguise differences?

I play Nb and i don t understand why the *** all the players when i shadowy disguse all the *** times they can see me just to stay close!!! ther s any different from "hidden" and "shadowy disguise"? because it s cost *** 420 mana and hidden cost nothing, i need to understand this *** skill if keep or put in the rubbidh bean whit most of the NB skills thanks for the answears!!!

Magelight and Detection potions can see through Shadow Cloak.

Shadow Cloak does not proc the sneak attack bonus when behind an enemy.

The skill is currently bugged such that certain things break invisibility (ie: if you have a DoT on one of your enemies, the damage ticks will break your invisibility).

That skill should, theoretically, put you in "hidden" mode, but if other players have Magelight (or one of its morphs), they may still be able to see you.

The other possibility is that stealth is just bugged altogether, which I wouldn't rule out completely.

When you go invisible, they can't see you, but the duration is so short and the skill is so buggy that you often are immediately brought out of invisibility. So it's real easy to guess where a NB is when they use their invisibility. As for sneaking, if someone is right on top of your or has magelight/detection potions running then they can see you from farther away. Mage npcs in cyrodiil have some insane range for detection.

You can't hide In combat but you can SD. You also activate shadow barrier and get a guaranteed crit with the weapon crit based skills when you use it which can be done multiple times in the same fight. There have been issues with it from the start but the issues were never that it was the same as hide.
