Sad truth about myself

Today I had an epiphany. I discovered that when I am playing the game I thoroughly enjoy it. I love exploring and discovering all the little nooks that are hidden away. I love fighting the monsters, discovering chests and chatting with other players. The problem comes when I visit the forums. I get so caught up in the mob mentality and general negativity that I find myself bashing the game and contemplating leaving entirely. This is not a feeling I like and so I am going to be staying away from the forums from now on. I am just going to play and enjoy myself. Sincerest apologies to anyone I have offended in my posts.

Mob mentality gets the best of many of us, don't sweat it. As long as you have fun in-game, that's all that really matters.

    Best wishes!

I never let what someone else says about a game influence how I feel about the game I am playing. If I am enjoying the game, then I am having fun and will keep playing it.

For the record, I am enjoying this game for the same reasons as the OP.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

the forums can be a downer, i take regular breaks from it, usually updates and patches are when I spend time reading whilst waiting for the game to come back. cheers

some of the most vocal in the forums are also ESOs most avid supporters. We sometimes let emotions get the best of us.

I don't tend to post in forums to annoy people.

I tend to post in forums about issues that annoy me, or just seem wrong, to see who else agrees, as I may be the only one annoyed, or I may be 1 of thousands who all agree.

And until the numbers are tallied by people stepping forward to agree or ignore, nobody really knows just how many people ARE annoyed by an issue.

Many customer service reps, software companies, (and by extension: fanbois) seem to prefer that annoyed customers continue to believe that they're the only people with an issue, so that it can be ignored.

One of the many services an open forum allows is the ability to aggregate people and allow a company to know where the customers opinions lie, while letting customers know whether the issues being discussed warrant pushing the company to address the issues by virtue of widespread dissatisfaction, or put an issue lower on the list due to isolated dissatisfaction.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.
