Dear Zenimax,

Since you are rewarding conference participants and new game buyers with vanity gifts like pig and whiterun wolfdog. How about rewarding some of the loyal (yet constantly whining, I mean community feedback) current player base also?

Many people would take dog pet instead of crabs or scutter any day, kudos though for very compelling gift for steam imperial edition buyers.

So something that would be almost as compelling or personally even more compelling, how about award us house cat.

EA/DICE had some really rough start with their new title Battlefield 4 some time ago. At least they did some player appreciation actions.

Glad you settle for less than others without feeling less appreciated. I do play the game. I have been hoping some actually cool pet to use in game, now others get something like that. Of course I feel bit bummed about it, will I cancel subscription because of that? No. Yet still it leaves a bit sour taste in my mouth.

This might be, though not very good of advertising hi-lighting their issues of which some they still have not managed to fix properly.

Point is not whine about "I wanna da pup", point is to raise discussion and ideas of hopefully future player appreciation actions. The da pup is how it is now, people who use the offer in steam will get it, nobody else. Maybe it is also time to do some nice for the current loyal player base too, other than rewarding maybe couple of days free subscription because of downtimes.

Personally i don't care what other players get as long as it does not affect my character in a negative way(read:pvp disadvantage).

I can understand that some pet doesn't concern you much as you seem to be leaning more towards pvp. So how about including something for pvp players as well for appreciation. I'm not too much into pvp at least not yet but maybe some special siege weapon or something that would be simple and easy appreciation gift that adds at least little bit of value.

I don't care about getting something for free. I just want the option to get it. I would gladly pay $5-$10 on a dog vanity pet.

No, he and I .. I totally agree with him .. just don't have an over-inflated sense of entitlement I guess.

These are promos, they happen every day in real life, adults learn to deal with them, hopefully the over-emo posters ranting on here will learn too when they grow up.

This is getting bit of off topic or derailed but anyway. I'm sure many would have not cared much if it would have been the pig or small lizard or snake or squirrel or shalk or hoarvor. But make it something so common and so wanted like dog or cat is just asking for it.

I deal with it and it doesn't effect my gameplay but still feel bit under appreciated. Yes I admit that I'm 35 years old child who play video games.

True that when something like the puppygate happens or even server crashes there are 10 threads about the same thing. Now people are trying to pull this thread also into that direction too when the original purpose is to discuss about possible player appreciation actions that could be taken and what those could be.

It has not been the most rosey start for this game either. Many people have left just because of that. Many because it was not the game for them. There are people who have been around since betas, pre-ordered, played early access, have been subbing since and still have subs active. They have helped to identify bugs, bots, glitches. Possibility to play this great game is reward it self. Why not make people more happier and feel more appreciated after all the trouble players and the company has gone through to make this game the game it is today and what it will be tomorrow.

Am I actually demanding such thing? No, in my original post I was asking that how about remembering the people you already have playing this game.

Yes they could just give me the finger and say sucks to be you, you pay us already. They could also give me timeout on the forums because I mentioned another title on their forum. They could do a lot of things to show how little they care.

Many people have tried to derail this topic from actual constructive discussion to the so called puppygate whining that has been going on. And yes I have stated my mind of that too.

I'm only entitled to play this game with my subscription, everything else is bonus. Doesn't hurt companies to give out some bonus to their customers some times though.

You know what's reasonable? Having access to the same in-game resources, having paid for months and months of subscription, that people who have not paid months and months of subscription fees have access to.

That's what's reasonable. What's also reasonable is being able to hear a person express that desire without having some kind of freakish compulsion to disparage their motives and call them entitled. That's what's reasonable.

I'm just making real life example of your way of thinking what people are entitled of. With similar scenario people are experiencing with Zenimax marketing currently. With exception that we are not getting paid, we are paying.

So when it's game and game companies you are ready to take it dry from behind, but job world it's a whole different story? Just because it's just a game.

Anyway this is going so OT already, but that's expected.
