The Malaysian Airlines flight MH17, a Boeing 777-200, was shot down travelling from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.

There were 298 people on board. There were no survivors.

And you're all complaining about how you're being denied an in-game vanity pet?

I know the world keeps turning. But let's have a little perspective and show a little respect.

I'm sorry if this post upsets people. And I don't want to stop you all enjoying the game. I think we should enjoy the game, absolutely. But I hope, as a community, we can hold off on our complaints, valid or not, at least for a time.

While real life stuff like this is saddening, these are forums for a video game, a video game that some people care about. So, on a forum specifically designed for a video game, there are going to be forum topics, posts, and what have you about stuff involving that video game and problems people have with it, their concerns, suggestions, etc.

Saying that people are being ridiculous for talking about a video game on a forum designed for a video game and then trying to cite real world news is not the best thing to do imho. These forums are for video games, so there will be video game discussions and not real world stuff or concerns about the real world.

I also believe ZOS wants to keep these forums focused on the video game, and not world news.

This is the official forum for ESO. we come here to talk,complain and praise all things ESO. Not talk about planes being shot down or football results etc. It's tragic what happens every day in this world, but this is the forum for a computer game. If i want to complain or praise said game, i will do so on these forums.

I feel badly for the folks on that airline - and the one that disappeared a few months ago.

I can and have posted on other web forums and talked to many people about this terrible happening, but I still got crabs. There's places for stuff, and this is the place for trivial ESO stuff. This is a hobby. I do other stuff, like full-time job, parenting, relationship with other, eating, sports, music, pets. I know all my posts are tongue in cheek on a slow day at work (last before hols), but I am also messaging people, watching yesterday's stage of the Tour de France and keeping abreast of the terrible events in the Ukraine from multiple media services. But why do I need to tell you all this before every post?

I understand exactly what you meant to do here and I appreciate the effort. But don't bother. This forum and other similar forums represent the worst attributes of human nature. The only thing most of these people are interested in is arguing with each other and insulting each other. This forum is like a bad low budget reality show.
