I've been through a few quest and thought they would tie nicely into a special recipe or new item you can make. I think Zenimax should really consider this.
Once you really start making your own gear with sets, quest rewards are pretty useless. A honing stone at best. Even when you need the gear it is rare that you find one that works.
It would be nice if I helped the Argonian work out his lightning potion and he ended up giving me the recipe. That way only people who found and completed the quest can make that item.
Not all the quest obviously but a nice find every now and then.
More incentive to explore, more universal rewards and more variety in crafting.
