Been playing since release, already bought 3 game keys and 12 months worth of subs. Now I can enjoy the game on my steam console with steam services...just waiting for official controller support for pc. ESO is has had more entertainment value between those 3 accounts than the $450 I have paid to ZOS year to date.

ps. I also bought the horse on steam for $15.

    Cool.
Do you mind? I'm busy doing the fishstick, it's a very delicate state of mind.

Be sure to buy the guar plush too to let the marketing team know how successful they've been.

Yes, I have a six month sub, and also just bought the Steam copy. Still downloading though. Were you able to log into your existing account through the Steam version?

So far, they have said we can't apply the code to old accounts, but they haven't confirmed about how we are supposed to log into ESO. If the launcher just takes us to the same log in screen, I imagine we will be able to use our old accounts.

OK, then I am relieved. My main concern was getting the Steam copy of ESO and using my existing account to play. The dog would be cool, but I really want the cat.

To what extent were you able to use existing accounts? Use of the Steam overlay and features? New vanity pet/all other Imperial Edition goodies? (I don't think you even mentioned buying the Imperial Edition over the regular edition, but I'm curious how those perks transfer.)

Yes, i told everyone yesterday that they'd be able to.

All buying it on steam is adding it to your overlay, you still have to login through the ESO patcher, and they don't record that under steam.

    Wow thats some news
so IF I buy steam key to play eso with existing account in steam
does it any matter to buy additional new imperial edition or normal one?
If either does not affect it, would it better to buy normal one for existing account?

You can also just add the game to your steam library and BAM you have the same as before. Log in with your account and see your game in steam.
Why buying a new copy if that is possible (apart from the wolf dog.. but that means you have to play on a new account)

All that matters is that you have ESO registered to your steam account. A normal or imperial purchase will do this, but you won't have access to the bonuses if you wish to use your current account. Logging in with an old account on the new steam purchase will be fully available.

So yes, the normal will do.
