I love it and think its awesome!!!

Don't really "LOVE" it but I do like it. I get more items to deconstruct for XP and the occasional item from it does make me a few gold on the side. I'ts not a huge amount but I will take it anyway.

I utterly & completely HATE it to death and want Zenimax to remove it!!!

I seriously hate & despise it to death! Its useless and a complete annoyance to have it in nodes and drops from enemies! And it really makes me mad when I get 2 pieces of this stuff drop from a boss which happens often! Makes killing bosses disappointing and VERY anticlimactic! Please get this stuff outta the nodes and treasure pools Zenimax! Thanks!

Meh. Haven't made a new toon since they implimented it but would imagine that, coming out of Coldharbour, that white gear would be quite handy right off.

I really could care less one way or the other.

I found that it's roughly around, 1 in 10 that such are found in barrels/crates etc. So not really anything to worry about at all.

I do like the white items that i can sale and deconstruct.

No IDEA why they allow us to pick up random crap....its just a waste.

I currently deconstruct anything green and above and vendor off anything white.
Therefore, the white gear isn't "useless" to me. It generates gold.

I -do- recall people saying it would be neat if you could pick up visible items in the game world and wear them.

To me, two -totally- different things. I think Zeni just saw it as a way of 'diluting' loot/containers while at the same time watering-down drop rates for useful and valuable items.

They will be useful. Once the justice system goes in, the devs can give them a proper gold value and add rare pickups to the loot table for them.

As soon as the possibility for punishment for stealing this stuff is added, bots can't exploit these items for quick gold and it can become a risk/reward exercise to get them. Also if ZOS make you sell stolen stuff only to thieves guild fences like in previous games, it will add another layer of protection from bots farming this stuff for quick gold.

They're just mildly annoying now...

Are you talking about white weapons and armors that you find in crates, wardrobes, etc? I thought it was a bug.
But weapons that you can pick up from the world are awesome.
And thanks to white items from loot, I make money.

Just a quick note, mob kills does not drop 0 value white gear, only containers do. Mob kills drop the regular white gear that's actually worth something. You can sell it to vendors for gold, decon it for good xp, so yes, I do love it.

I dislike the valueless white junk you get from trunks, barrels, chests, dressers, etc. Those items provide no gold and little crafting exp.

Normal white items that drop off of enemies are ok though. Those are still useful.

You're lumping two different things together. The gear from containers was a bad implementation of a bad idea. The white gear from mobs can be sold or deconstructed and is totally fine.

There is no white gear from nodes, unless you mean valuable fishing baits. Some people are willing to pay 10g per worm. Im probably one of few which when find empty node with worm are rather happy about it.

Tho I would prefer if there was some other way to get more worms (I know, one can thankfully grind zombies).

Anyway, I would prefer if containers didnt have useless white gear in them. To be able to loot it from world where its visible, sure, for RP reasons. But I want good stuff in my containers.. Thats only thing thats bothering me a bit.

If it was worth at least ONE gold i wouldn't even mind!
But noooo its just something you have to manually delete because your own gear is way better anyway. If they had random traits it wouldn't be bad either, that way it could be used for researching if you're lucky

EDIT: whoops i didn't realize there were 2 things lumped together, i was talking about the stuff in the backpacks of course. Make it worth one gold pls -.-

It's a poor attempt to create a "wow" factor when you run into gear that's not garbage. Problem is most of that gear is junk or at best "meh". There's been legitimately one time in my entire play experience I encountered a drop that Wowed me and it wasn't even my drop. A buddy of mine got a VR5 purple daedric sword from a dungeon boss with an 80 flame damage enchant and a set bonus that boosted weapon damage (I think by 7).

So suffice it to say they need gear that's crap so when you run into gear that isn't crap you go " WOW!". Though the way they go about it is just straight clogging your inventory with mountains of dog *** for 99.99% of your game experience, and .01% of the time you run into something worth the inventory slot. Effectively making the whole experience of finding gear horrible... if I were to give you a sandwich that was 99.99% dog *** and .01% ham, would you be willing to call that a ham sandwich? If yes, then this system is perfect for you!

Do not love it, but think its good for lvl up crafting skills, and when i find blue or purple items i feel its more rare and spesial since i find mostly white items ^^ and that a good feeling so i would't like it if they removed it.

I believe the op is talking about the new white gear that you get from some containers(bags,crates,barrels and such)now. Unlike the white that's dropped from mobs this stuff has 0 gold value and provides no decon exp. I don't mind the stuff laying about on tables and such but, as container loot it's annoying has hell. Just take it out of the container loot tables.

No, I'm talking about both types of white gear. For me they are both worthless and I hate getting white armor/weapons drop from mobs. And there is even green garbage drops that have no traits as well. I have all my crafts to lvl 50 so its all worthless to me but I understand that people dont have there crafts to 50 and would benefit from decon. these items. But when I kill a boss and all I get is this worthless white gear with no traits, it is really disappointing!

I actually like the fact that there is now Junk Jewelry at levels 1-20 that can be enchanted for low level characters because there aren't any really good pre enchanted jewelry item drops at those levels and I've been enchanting low level stuff for new characters right and left!

It seems to be effecting rare motif drops in the vet zones. Otherwise it doesn't bother me at all. If you don't want it, don't loot it. That being said, it's a little outlandish finding a sword in a nightstand

I misunderstood. When I read useless I assumed you meant the 0 value items from containers. The normal whites are fine.
