I have had this happen a few times due to lag I just found it funny so thought I would share.
I have fired off sun fire (can hear the sound effect) at an enemy and then moved forward (using w not actually running using stamina) to an enemy 15-20 m away and given them a few hits with an axe before the animation and damage of the sun fire has been recognised and applied to the enemy.
Faster than a speeding ball of fire!
