Will spawn times ever be fixed?

Today I started PvEing again for the sake of completing achievements I need for the dyes (introduced next patch), and bosses just don't seem to spawn.

Earlier I was trying to complete a public dungeon, and one of the champions took over an hour to spawn.

I understand that spawn timers were introduced early in the game when we had bots, but that doesn't seem to be a problem anymore.

I have yet to see a single bot in any Vet Zone, and bot threads have heavily declined if not gone extinct..

These timers need to be fixed. I don't understand how ZoS can't see how broken it is to have to wait for an hour or more for a boss to spawn.

I think it'd be better if we could only get xp/loot a boss once every X amount of time before getting nothing other than a few gold coins.

Replacing that with the timer would stop bots/farmers and the people looking for the completion could actually get it.

ZoS could also just reduce the timers to an acceptable level.. and not an hour(+) like it is right now.

    Some bosses are rare spawns and well..... they are rare (up to 90 min respawn timers) and they were this way before any of the anti bot code was added.

    The anti bot code is mostly about the bosses not dropping loot if killed over and over again by the same person. Rare spawns are just that and I think its fine. (gives a little meaning to the achievements)

    The only dungeons I found that had very long timers were those in Cyrodiil dungeons and they said that was by design. (if you want to camp a boss there, some player may start camping you)

    And yes, I've tried killing the other champions and such that respawn, but even so the boss still takes an obscene amount of time to get a certain one to spawn.

    I'm not sure I 100% understand. Are you killing the champ/boss more than once? I was under the impression that there wasn't so much just a timer but also a test to see who was in the instance. As long as you have never killed that boss with that character, then it should spawn very quickly...assuming someone else killed it. If everyone in the instance has the achievement, the boss will not respawn.

    The first time we ran in the dungeon, it was completely empty just 4 of us.

    We killed every champion except the last one (Thick-Bark). All of them were there except Thick-bark so we waited and waited and waited. An hour passed and it still hadn't spawned. So we googled to make sure we were in it's correct spawn point.

    It turned out we were. So we waited and waited again,..Later on someone came across a thread on here saying we should kill at the champions over and over until the one we needed spawned. We did just that and we killed each multiple times until Thick-Bark finally spawned.

    No one had the achievement, we all were there to get it. None of us had even been there before, yet it took forever to spawn. The stupid amount of time I had to wait is the timer I'm talking about.

    Umm, I play a few MMO's where the respawn timer on some bosses is 5 days...... Just glad they do not do that on ESO

    Yeah, but these bosses don't even drop loot. It's ridiculous for an elite mob that drops no loot and awards hardly any xp to have that long of a respawn timer. Just shorten the timer and make the boss harder.

    The bosses are Placeholders for other bosses in the publics. Most can only have 2 bosses up at a time. You kill one, any of the other not up bosses can pop

    It can look like they are all up because you move through and get the respawns on the ones you didn't kill yet.

    If nobody else is in the public and you sit near a boss, then it will never spawn... someone has to kill one of the 2 that are up.

    Some bosses seem to pop less often than others, so you may need to loop around a few times to get certain ones to pop at all.

    I've done all the publics, waiting for a boss only works if there are bunches of people moving around and killing the other ones.

    BTW this is also true of Cyrodil delves when you get out there too.

    It's annoying but I just patiently wait when hunting achievements. Yeah can easily take 30 mins to an hour.

    I waited 3 hours for the boss in the Auridon public dungeon before finally giving up once. Of course, that was right at launch. Haven't been back to see if they did anything about that.
