Please read fully before responding with hate on me.

When I bought ESO I had such high expectations (perhaps unfairly). I knew it wouldn't be Skyrim online, but I was looking for heavy ES emphasis on the small details that I've grown to really love with these games. From reading the forums it seems many of these items won't be implemented anytime soon or not at all. Honestly, I may not be around to see them, or maybe I'm one of those that needs to go away for a year and come back later.
What we got in ESO that I think represents ES games (not a full list):
Gorgeous land
Full voice acting
Realistic characters, armor etc
Simple UI
What we're missing (again not a full list):
Realistic mouth/talking movements
Realistic underwater
Housing (trophies, storage, etc)
NPCs with daily activities and day/night schedules
Appearance changer
Exploring Cyrodiil without having to watch my back constantly
Thieves/DB guild
pickpocket/ sneaking
(yes I know, it looks like I just want the single player games all over again, and you may be right)
But why can't we have these items in the game. Is it really so bad?
I need to get immersed into my character to play for a long time. I love to escape. I work all day, and I love gaming to be my cheap but awesome vacation. ES games always gave that to me 110%. Sadly, I've outplayed the crud out of them.
Please understand me here: ESO doesn't have to be Skyrim, Oblivion (best game ever created imo), Morrowind. For some, it's fine that it doesn't have housing, and underwater. MMOs try to be big amusement parks that cater to as many as possible. I'm still playing, and hope I'll be around if any of the above items are added.
I'm a altaholic. I'm going really slow. Highest level character is 19. Yep, reeeealy slow.
So what I'm saying is, my disappointment in the game is not the balancing (I'm not PVPing), and not the glitches (those are expected). It's the small things that I miss. I guess the ES title threw me off originally.
And that's the heart of my gripe.

It just feels like the game was pushed out too soon without fully implementing the things that make up Elder Scrolls as we know it. Perhaps I've been too spoiled. In hindsight, I'd have paid $100 for Oblivion/Skyrim/Morrowind.
I'm going to keep chugging along as long as I can...
