Do mobs crit?

I was told that having Impenetrable (resist crits by x%) was useless against mobs. PVP, yes, useful, but not computer-controlled enemies.
Is this true?
Are they pulling my leg (like the old heals don't crit joke in WoW) or are they serious?

traigusb14_ESO2✭✭✭✭✭Not sure about trash mobs , but I seem to hold up vs bosses and big mobs like trolls better if I have impenetrable on my stuff, especially vs heavy attacks.
Someone in beta said over 200 pts was not really useful in PVE because of mob caps. Not sure if that was good info or it still holds true.0 -

✭According to customer support, enemy npcs can crit. However, given their track record, it's not a great source. I don't think I've ever seen it though. Given enemy mobs inherent armor penetration, it's hard to really gauge whether they crit or not.
