Additional pet skill trees

I've given it a bit of thought and discussed it with several other players but I'd like to toss it out to the general public for other ideas. I would like to see more combat pet options available. Sorc is currently the only one with combat pets and yet ranger NPCs will summon wolves, tigers and bears to attack you. The Elder Scrolls games have had a wide variety of pets so i would like to see:

1. A stamina based pet skill tree. A Wolf/Dog that snares and does medium dps, a bear that tanks does low dps but taunts and has high health/armor and a third that does high dps. Third could be a large cat but I'm personally partial to raptors (the birds not the dinosaurs). The other two skills in the tree could be buffing or healing the pets similar to Sorc's Conjured Ward skill.

2. Necromancy. People have been begging for it since before the game was launched so I'll leave the details out just add my voice to the others asking for it.

3. Elementals. We see Atronachs all over Tamriel why not in the player's hands? The only one close atm is the Ultimate Storm Atronach? What about the others?

4. Charmed/Taming. Now this may be a bit complicated, I'm not a fan of the way it was done in previous games where it could break the charm at any given time or once you tamed a pet you had a massive selection of them to choose from forever. Then again no one said I had to personally be a fan of anything. Some pretty bright people around here could come up with a great way for this to work I'm sure.

Obviously I've given the first one more thought than the others, and really I don't expect to see anything as massive as an actual combat pet system anytime soon. However just throwing it out for general conversation since the last word given on my personal favorite (hand to hand) was "No plans at this time".

With the news of Spellcrafting coming out, it seems that #2 and #3 will get some love. :)

However, I REALLY want to see #1 come to fruition, and I definitely think those three animals - wolf, bear, big cat- would be a great start and very appreciated for those of us who want that ranger feel. (Perhaps the morphs change the animals color, much like werewolf morphs?)

Seeing a ghostly familiar in the conjuration tree is nice and all, but for lore, immersion and aesthetic reasons I really want to see actual animal companions who assist you in combat. My bandit isn't going to wave her hands and conjure up a daedra, but she could very well have a clawed furry friend at her side when she's on the hunt.

I'd love pets that can add stats/DPS to your team, but I would only like it in a solo game, MMO it would kind of suck:/

or at least make them high priced ect, or limited addition for PvE only

idk, just hoping for brand new mounts first..

Since combat pets are already around (sorcerer familiars, and the upcoming familiars in spellcrafting) that's already in. May as well add some who look like real animals and use stamina instead of magicka for us who prefer stam builds.

Nah, they've got a pet system already implemented, and all the animals mentioned exist in game. Some are even pets of other characters! (Think I've seen wolves with some bandits, and spriggans like conjuring bears and wolves). While I know programming them in would take some work, it should definitely be doable.

They should bring back conjuration like they had in previous TES instalments. I would love to be able to summon Dremora, Golden Saints, Dark Seducers or any Daedra of my choosing provided they were available. This option should be available to all classes btw, not just sorcerers. Meh this is Elder Scrolls right?

I realize that spell crafting will bring in several different forms of pets however it is another system based upon magicka . So 2 & 3 may likely be solved and addressed with spell crafting that still leaves stamina builds in the dark and alone with no companions. As far as #4 enchanting/taming I have no idea how this would even begin to work in ESO and be balanced.

#1 would be good provided stamina abilities were fixed first.
#4 could be really interesting and provide a nice change to combat creating some unique tactics choices. There are a few other games that offer tamable combat pets, but most are class specific.

I am for anything that makes the game more interesting and encourages continued play. I don't really want to see anything that would be class or character restricted, constantly having to reroll to use a new feature would feel like a grind for me personally.

    Speaking of necromancy...

6 weapons in the game only 4 of which are completely based on stamina builds. I still months later think this would be a great way to add in a new stamina skill tree.

Spell crafting by all accounts looks to bring in individual spells that you find and learn, I'm personally more interested in whole new trees to level and add some variety into the combat. So alt A, alt B, and alt C aren't all doing the EXACT same things as initial main.

My ranger is dying to get a wolf pet! But he has to suffice to have a stoic mudcrab following him around or a dwarven spider. Meh. :/

but realistically programming them in wouldn't be too hard. I'm sure that the spriggans conjuring bears and wolves is just a function, they could easily just add that function to the player base class and add a few parameters that would take in how powerful it is. It's basically a copy and paste job, if they made this game as modular as they should've but I can't see their code so I have no idea

Do we actually know that spell crafting won't be able to craft new stamina abilities?

i would LOVE to have a pet for my nightblade :)
would be awesome, would be obviously better then my shade pet, he dont do much to help. he iether needs a massive dps boost or i need a new pet.

I want a snake pet for my Argonian NB Vamp. A wolf and cat for some of my other toons. I hate that they only gave Sorcs pets to start.

And I do support Necromancy, after all they allow Sorcs to summon Daedra and isn't that supposed to be a bad thing?

Spellcrafting hopefully will give us options to tame many of the animals in the game as combat pets.

How about a spell that allows the crafting of dwemer constructs as combat pets?

I think the pets should be removed from sorc all together, they're cool but such a hindrance. Especially with conjuration coming in the near future with spell crafting. I think it would open up sorc for some better skills... Maybe a Melee attack??? Lol, but seriously... There's only one, really good summon and that's the NB summon shades.

The summons are just lousy in both pve and pvp.

Sad part is currently the NB Shade is actually the best combat pet in the game. Which is a large reason I'd like to see more options available. Okay maybe not but it is a point in favor of having others, imo.

With CS and Justice coming I imagine we're looking at a ways down the road for spell crafting. They have already stated that there will be pets in spell crafting but it has so far been relegated to summoned pets. Fire or Ice atronach and similar, popular speculation and clamor for undead pets for a necro has many thinking it will include such pets.

However there has never once been mentioned or hinted at a stamina option.

You know what I'd settle for even more than the skill line?

Familiars that leveled with you, or at least leveled.

The HP's on what should be Vet Ranked summons is pathetic, and now that they won't take heals from Springs Mutagen...

Three shots & the twilight's out.

I totally agree. On my Sorc, I put my pet away (when I remember) while I am in the city.
