All the weapons we'd like to see in game A Wish List

I've been seeing several different threads about several different types of weapons trying to put them all on one thread.

1. Scythe
2. Spear
3. Trident(could be under spear but since I'd like to see a Sea Elf race playable always thought they should have one of these on the npc)
4. Crossbow
5. Katana
6. Morning Star(possibly two versions one spiked ball and handle and another hand and chain attached to the spike ball)
7. halberd
8. throwing weapons (such as daggers, axes, etc.)
9. Kamas
10. Some sort of claw type weapon (for some reason I really see this for the Khajiit, since they would be the most familiar using claw type weapon besides lol their own claws)
11. Dare I say it whips?
12. For Imperials I'd really like to see the roman type shield (scutom I believe) and the gladius
13. heck even just a plain old club figure that'd be a good weapon for orcs since its easy to use and Orcs aren't that smart

Nice List, but as far as i know in Tamriel Orcs are clever and skilled Blacksmiths, forging fierce weapons and armor ... maybe clubs are more Ogre-Style

Some more Weapons would be a nice addition

I wouldn't mind seing double-axe's/swords/maces, The animations would be awesome, lots of dancing/sweeping manouvers , Your list is great though, Some rapiers/parrying daggers would be a nice addition too. I Miss Morrowinds Claymores as well.

In Morrowind Khajiit unarmed did physical damage because claws not just stamina damage that other races did. Would be neat to be clawing with my Khajiit. Hmm maybe that's the reason I like searing strike so much.

DK has whip.

Pretty extensive list. Not sure if more is better in all games. It brings the issue of choosing and of course features. How to differ all those added weapons from the others as of course their animations are different. But otherwise they would be pretty much the same as current being armor reduction, armor penetrating, bleeding or critical type of weapons.

and for the record yes i ran around punching dragons in skyrim, i ran around fisty-cuffing daedra in morrowind tho oddly i never did it in oblivion... hmm...

but yeah from me basicly every weapon that appeared in past Elder Scroll themed games.
Crossbows, halberds, spears, the works.

I like to see more starves. More color and different shapes and sizes. Also, animation the the staff while being used and while mounted, like having a large flame animation on the head of the staff. Or when I shoot a fireball, have a different color fireball, or a dragon looking fireball.

I was thinking about putting that in the list, but I didn't know if people might think it was too DnD. I've always thought of elves as using the a thin/sleek version of a double bladed sword. Just because I see elves as using dance like attack moves, flowing fluidly into each form of attacking and defending.

I'd also like to see more single handed swords with the pommel of the sword isn't so long, some of the pommels seem almost as long as the blade itself.

Plus for the great swords I'd like to see some versions that aren't such a large pommel (lol again with the pommels) and such a wide blade. More say hand and half swords type swords.

Zenimax has a sacred duty to anyone who played Morrowind and picked Spears as their main weapon, to not only implement them, but make damn sure they don't suck once they do.

remember guys, with every weapon skill you want in the game, comes a whole set of new problems, with the skill system, with balance issues, with stacking issues and so on.

and then the same people that wants the weapons, dont get me wrong I would love to see trowing daggers as well, they will jump to the forum and yell nerf for the next month.

I'd really like to see some big two-handed axes. The ones ingame are so small. The shaft is way too short and the char is holding it like a... I don't know, but someone holding a two-handex axe should look different.

From the human perspective, it would be called ...

Does it really matter? A knife against a giant and you still are equally dead regardless.

Yeah hehe ..and great swords are very big, its kite ironic.


I would love to see spears, crossbows and halberds.

You dont need to do a new skill line :

Spears,halberds = two handed (you can use the spear in one hand ..then its inside the one handed skill line )
crossbow = bow
