Expert hunter - fighters guild question

Does this ability work only with melee or weapon attacks, or does it also proc off of spells when casting at undead/daedric enemies?

It works off every attack that I've seen even aoe spells, which is why you feel godlike in any daedra infested area when you have it fully morphed and leveled. I've had it last pretty much an entire public delve run from the increase duration per kill due to its efficiency. Well worth the two skill points.

Thanks, been looking for a fifth skill to slot on my caster templar and this seemed like a nice fit, just wanted to be sure it would proc off of sun fire / solar flare.

Does it also work off of ultimates?
