Dedicated Questions to the Devs Thread (should we have one)

I suggested this some time ago and to be honest not really surprised that it got no official response. At the time ESO was in a bad way and pretty much everything was being ignored by the Devs/Admins/Zenimax.

Anyway that was then, this is now and ESO is looking much better. Zenimax even appear to be listening to the players again and things are looking up.

So... with that in mind... Should we have a thread dedicated to questions we would like forwarded to the Devs/Zenimax? Questions from this thread will be used for the "Ask us Anything" blog !

Firstly a few ground rules....

•This is a questions only thread, not suggestions or complaints or ranting. Anything like that will automatically be removed by the Mods

•Replies are disabled (like in some official posts) It's not a discussion thread, just simple questions. Not pages of waffle that detract from the original question.

•The thread voting/approval system still works. That way the Devs can see which questions the player-base are most interested in

•the @ function can be used 'if' you wish to direct your question to a specific member of Zenimaz.

•The usual Code of Conduct conditions apply to all questions posted

So... would you like to see a Questions thread. Would you be interested in participating and knowing that the next "Ask us Anything" blog would be made from genuine questions from real players?

+1, Great idea, just have a sneaky feeling it would be abused, thus making more work for the Mods but intelligent questions with quick answers would be fantastic!! :)

It's not even so much about the answers, I wouldn't expect any question to get one (unless a certain Dev wanted to reply ofc) Its more about putting forward questions we would want to be included in the Ask us Anything announcements.
At least then players could see that the whole thing is honest and transparent. Not to mention I guess it would also be a pride thing if you did happen to see your question had been chosen/used

    :)

Sorry, read fail on my part but again I agree real questions from real players would hold much more value to the audience and the devs would have the luxury of time to prepare their answers. :)

    I vote no.

The community managers are already going through all the threads and forwarding common questions, suggestions, and complaints. They just don't respond to every single thread. It wouldn't make a difference if they did respond because someone else would just create the same post a few hours later.

Honestly, how many completely worthless and useless questions do you think would be posted every day? The majority of questions can be answered by other players.

How much time would it take for a community manager to go through every question and figure out which ones deserved to be forwarded? This would lead to someone complaining that they were ignored because their question was never answered.

A lot less time than it takes to go through every thread on every forum !

    It's just troll bait.

Look at the other threads open to players right now---most of it is not constructive, spreads false information, or just plain venomous. I'm sure the SAME boisterous players (you know, the ones who currently spew nonsense and author 'I'm quitting ESO or else' threads) would no doubt clog up a Dev Q&A thread.
I feel bad for our community managers--must be draining to have to sort through these threads, searching for actual issues/concerns with the game. =(
