Temporary horse buffs

At the stables you can currently buy three different types of food to permanently buff your horse. Should cooks be able to make food which *temporarily* buffs your horse? Same time duration as food currently has. The buffs could be the same ones as at the stables plus possibly some cosmetic ones.

It's a good idea, helps with mounts as well as enhancing crafting.

I wouldn't give it any priority, but definitely worth consideration for the future.

Are you talking about temporary versions of all three buffs?? because what happens when a temporary storage buff runs out?

I have no objection to Speed or stamina, but I doubt you will get them.

    Excellent point on the storage.

Note, this is a very minor thing and I wouldn't expect it to be worked on in the near future - but possibly put on the list they keep somewhere.

Though I am not a cook I think it would be neat for cooks and expand their usefulness.

They're making some major changes to the provisioning system, so maybe just wait for those to come before you start requesting novelty food.

And did you really need separate threads for pet food vs. horse food?

Cooks already have one of the most useful crafts, anyone who has used food for the buff will tell you that the boost to health/magic is a major aspect of fighting bosses.

There are several bosses I wouldn't go near without a food buff.

    I've decided to vote undecided.

Oh, I wasn't aware of this. Do you have any links?

the stamina buff thats perminant on your horse is supose to be the buff.
my hose is 45% stamina and 45% speed and 10% cary weight baggs. basicly whats spose to happen is when you press shift it will make you go faster, but its limited to the amount of stamina your horse has. if like me your horse has 45% stamina then he will last a very long time while sprinting fast with shift key, this enables you to not be knocked down because of that stamina buff. you can still sprint fast and go higher speeds without stamina, but that stamina is basicly the buff or "armor" untill it run's out of stamina.
i dont see why we would need or want more with a food buff for the horse.
even when im at full 100% stamina i can still be knocked down depending on the skill used on me. last night i was hit about 15 times before i fell off my horse because of the stamina he has.
