Should cooks be able to make food which buffs pets?

Was thinking some minor buffs for pets might open up a new market for cooks, though I'm concerned that slightly buffing the pets might be seen as 'overpowered' by classes which do not use pets. What's your opinion?

Seems like it would only benefit sorcerers.

No, they should be able to cook pets though.

No, only benefits Sorcerers. Unless your talking about some sort of cosmetic buff for FollowerPets like the little guar. Some food to make him hot pink, or bigger or whatever would be fine.

In that case it already does. Your abilities are boosted by food. Your pets are an ability. (a pretty useless one but an ability all the same)

I just want to cook fish. Seriously l really want to be able to use them for something, preferably something delicious. Big part of fishing is the grillin (and the drinking).

As a sorcerer who would benefit the most, NO.

I don't want to have my pets nerfed and "brought back up to standard" with elite purple food recipes that they are worthless without.

I'm not entirely sure if summoned beasties really need to eat anyway.

Precisely.. if it was a wolf, bear, or sabre-tooth that was your actual pet, sure. What's in game now are conjurations that don't have digestive systems.

Clanfears in game can often be seen chewing on some dead carcass.

I have played many games where you could feed your pets to give them attribute boosts. I see no reason we could not do that here as well. It could apply to what are now vanity pets so all classes could benefit.
