I recently stumbeled over the the Road ahead post. After some looking at the pictures (before I even read the text) I realised: Wait a sec. I think I know those designs from somewhere:
I am just not entilrey sure who is who on this picture:
1st could be scorpion from Mortal Combat.
The next row seems easy:
2nd is Iron Man
3rd is Hawkeye (in his purple costume)
4th might be wonder woman.
not so sure about the last two:
5th might be Captain Aldmerica
6th propably some plant user. And very likely a seductress. Maybe the Enchantress from Marvel. Maybe Poision Ivy.

✭The only thing wrong with those pics is that they are staged photos.
Lets face it they would have had the full colour palette available to them. Bet they didn't have any locked out because they haven't got the achieve !
