What happens when gear reaches 0% durability?

Does it disappear? Does it just lose all of its armor rating? I've never whittled anything down that much, so I'm kind of curious.

MKosch04ub17_ESOSoul ShrivenIt's like you're not wearing the piece. Extra bonuses from passive armor skill will not apply, no armor rating. Not certain about enchantments.5

Jimm_ay✭✭✭I think you lose all the bonuses you get ie crits and any enchantments for magicka, health etc...but then I could be wrong.0 -
Breg_Magol✭✭✭✭What happens? If you're a DK .. not much. If you're a Vet NB you'll die as soon as the NPC gets that red aggro thingy flashing around the head indicating you've been spotted. If you're a Sorc .. the NPC's will throw their weapons down and run away (they do that in Glenumbra anyway, most likely 'cause they're low life DC and no spine :P).
