where to find honey comb?

Just running around while xping I used to find plenty of honey comb, but I havent found any in quite some time and my stack of fortified sweetroll is running low. Is there a good place to look for that? I started as daggerfall faction but am up to vr9 content now.

every where, best found in veteran zones, but they are in crates, barrels and such, open everything u see.

I have over 300. It is not rare.

if he sells the sweetroll, they come rare to him

if he does like you and I Islyn save them, you shouldn't run out of them. I only use food buff for two kinda places.

However with the coming change to the Provisioning System I suspect they'll be changed to Stale Fortified Sweetrolls (look under Developer Discussions for info).

No, like I said I used to find them all the time but not in a long time now. All I seem to find is the low level ingredients. Stuff like lard and stock.

my main toons are AD, so the locations are not as important as the level ranges:

i find them pretty commonly in rawl'ka which is about lvl 40 (about halfway through last zone.) since the update introducing trash gear into the loot table, i have found them in vr7 areas as well.

i suspect, since it is a sweetroll ingredient, it is exclusive, or nearly exclusive to AD areas.

the good news is, iirc, daggerfall faction gets the brittle recipe more often, which is hugely more valuable than the other VR5 foods due to the plentifulness of pepper.

This is not the case at all. My EP character has found dozens, if not hundreds, of Honeycomb at the two EP gates in Cyrodiil. The same goes for Red Wheat. I even found a VR5 purple drink recipe in a backpack at the northern EP gate in Cyrodiil.

I think I found my answer. I think honeycomb is found in the highest level zone for each faction. I was in my 3rd vet faction and taking my time so I wasnt finding any until I started in rift. Now Im seeing them again.

This is mostly true. However, once you hit VR level they can drop everywhere, but just not in the quantities that they are in the high level zone for your faction.
