Has the VR grind discouraged you from making Alts?

I have no desire to do the exact same quests again because it doesn't matter which faction you're in, you can do them all.

No. It actually encourages alts for me. I am not one of those people that thinks they get a medal for being "max level".

I am about a week away from completing my 3rd character, then I will have 3 characters parked at VR1 awaiting new content.

For me, it very much matters which faction you are in. My characters are all different from each other and they wouldn't be actively killing their own people.

I've made some alts, including some I intend to level. But not until the VR grind is changed. I actually enjoyed it the first time, even all the quests. But knowing that the second and third journeys will be the exact same content makes me hesitate.

Actually, after reading all the complaints about the VR levels, my wife and I have decided to simply stop once we hit VR, and move on to our alts in another alliance.

So actually, for us, the VR 'arrangement' has actually discouraged us from pursuing VR content at all for the time being.

I think the way Zeni did it, having VR levels moving into the other alliance areas was a cop-out on their part, and laziness. But that's just me.

I tried a bit of the VR content, and while I like the increased difficulty of it, I've decided to go back and play those alliances first on alts. I just can't get into it like I did with my own alliances quests.

VR1 isn't max level. You are only 1/3 of the way there bud

No it actually encouraged me to make an alt. My main was a Templar, I found the VR levels too difficult to be enjoyable so I made a Sorcerer. However I refuse to do all these quests again. I will finish just the ones required for Cadwells and finish off my max level in Craglorn.

ZoS you really took the easy way out on this and screwed us all in the process. You should of given us different quests that support our alliance. This would of encouraged making alts so we could be truly immersed in the other alliances and not feel like hero traitors doing boot licking quests. This would of encouraged us to make alts and stay subscribed longer. The crap you are adding to the game is not going to keep my sub.

I can barley handle one runthrough, multiple characters would be pure hell.

I loved ebonheart pact (my factions) storyline, but beyond that just destroyed any immersion I was getting.

I was never an Alt person. I like making 1 character as my own to be me and my persona.

I honestly don't mind the grind. There is so much dialogue and quest content in this game, not to mention all the places to explore and sites to see.

I just started a new character, and have been enjoying them thus far up to level 15, and that is in EP where I just recently played with my veteran. Honestly, it is more about enjoying the game for what it is, not rushing through the grind to get to some nebulous "end-game."

I do speed-read and skip some of the spoken dialogue, but only some, and I always read it before I do. I can read faster than the NPC's can speak is all. I still let the lines from my favorite voice actors play out.

Of course that's just me. My character spends a lot of time /drinking in bars where their favorite bards play and picking plants for crafting too, so I guess it takes all kinds! XD

Yes. If i do make an alt it will be a nightblade. Big IF though. I just hope they don't go overboard on wrecking DKS.

Nope, I have to go through the same content in other MMOs anyway and I always stick to one faction.

I'm not a big fan of alts, VR content has no impact on that for me.
I just don't like being given quests to help the other alliances that I have chosen to war against.
