[regarding no stealth for certain classes] Yes, standing around in a keep and having to wait for a group to join in order to be able to go outside without being instantly toasted is indeed much more interesting and challenging. My first thought was "ah, moaning again", but after reading your comment carefully I came to realise that you were right. It would be so much more interesting and challenging.
I don't necessarily agree that stealth should be removed from non-shadow classes. Sneak is integral to TES titles. In other titles, however, it was much less effective to sneak in heavy armor. There should be massive sneaking penalties for heavy armor. In truth there should be some place for skill points to be spent on sneaking/stealth. I'm kinda of surprised there is not. Perhaps when DB and TG are introduced...?
Stealth is fine as it is. Just NB's skill should be fixed so they have an advantage.
About AoE I agree that something should be done. That's why I proposed to ZoS, just to create one test campaign where no AoE skills are available. Who wants to use AoE will join another campaign.

that has nothing to do with the fact that a player in full heavy armor can sneak as well as a player in full medium armor. Also, the ability you referenced may as well be almost to the point of being broke. half the time it does not even work. at least they kinda decreased magicka cost for it, but half the time you use it, you will still see it break as soon as activated, or you may even still be seen while using it. not to mention its ONE stealth ability...... we need more!:)smeeprocketnub19_ESO wrote: »I like my ability to stealth, and I don't think it's unfair for non-NBs to have this because it's not as powerful as shadowy disguise is. And I feel it can be really necessary. Sometimes you need to avoid the enemies around you.
I recently shadowy disguised my way (with a friend) through all the craglorn public dungeons to get all the skyshards. One time we had to trade off pulling away mobs to get a skyshard, but otherwise we grabbed them mostly unmolested. I think that's a pretty big advantage in and of itself.

if that's what you think, then why waste time commenting on it? call me a troll if you want, but you know I am righttimidobserver wrote: »Why waste time making a suggestion that has 0% chance of happening ever.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't have massive penalties to successfully sneak in full plate armor in broad daylight. Far as I know a character in heavy armor has the exact same ability to sneak as a NB in light armor AND with no skill points invested. (correct me if I'm wrong.) It's just wrong.Stealth is fine as it is. Just NB's skill should be fixed so they have an advantage.

Stealth is not fine as it is. Whole groups moving around in heavy armor 20 meters away from someone looking right at them is ridiculous. I do agree that NB need some love. Perhaps something like a 2 second increase in Shadow Cloak with an ability that damage from AOE doesn't negate the shadow effect. That actually would bring a little balance to the situation in Cyrodiil with AOE spammers.
I really don't believe it's reasonable to get rid of AOE altogether, but clearly something needs to be done.
