Outfit System

@ESO_Overlords

Can we get some kind of outfit system or a way to change the look of our armor/weapons?

No disrespect to the designers, but sometimes there are items I just can't stand the look of. It would be great to customize the look of your armor, especially with the dye system coming in.

You can craft the weapons the stile you like. Altmer, Bosmer, Dunmer, Bretons and so on.
    What do you want more?

Cosmetic slots, one for each part of the body. Some of us have been asking for this since beta, I'd still very, very much like to see this B)

I hate crafting and never mess with it in games. I've tried a couple times to find crafters that will work with my, but it always seems like wasted money to get armor crafted with the stats you need with the look you want. I'm a bit of a cheapskate and use looted armor until I get up into the higher levels where I'm not going to outgrow equipment in a few hours.

The cost of not crafting is having to put up with what you get.

Or we could just get an outfit system and everyone can customize their look. It's not like it's going to hurt anyone.

Yes it will. I have spent a long time and lots of gold getting to the point I can craft anything. Why should someone be gifted something I have had to earn?

People are still going to need good armor. You can still provide that.

And a well designed vanity outfit system could have craftable sets

That's not my point. You shouldn't be given something I have had to work for

    That's a pretty selfish attitude.

But who said anything about giving away stuff for free? Outfits would need to be purchased, found or crafted same as any gear in the game.

    .

That is how game economies work. Crafters earn the right to craft and sell to those that don't want to craft. That's not selfish at all. Demanding you be given something by the game and ruining the whole game economy is selfish.

How is letting people through some junk armor into an Outfit slot to customize the way they look going to hurt your business of crafting quality armor for those that need it as they level up?

On another note from @nerrollus‌ , how is asking for an outfit system and the ability to customize how you appear, equal to asking for or being given something for free?
This thread made a request for a system, not a bunch of free gear to change their appearance.

Appearance and the ability to change it is a commodity in this game. Which is why we have so many style motifs and why they cost so much to buy. Fashion has a price because it has a cost.

That armor will still need to be created by crafts so players have something to put in the outfit slot. The only difference is they're not going to be wearing it in their primary slot.

Exactly. And this would do nothing more than further extend, and enhance, the current appearance system in the game.
You're like an oil baron who's afraid of anything new that might hurt his profits. Thankfully you are not the one who gets to make decisions for this game.

EDIT: On a totally unrelated note, I just watched a rat climb into my car. Son of a b****.

If gear is f'ugly changing it's colour is simply putting lipstick on a pig. :)
