Deleting Characters and Preserving Names

I want to delete a character I have and then remake the character on another alliance. Once I delete the character is there a delay before the name can be used again? I'm worried about losing the name.

✭✭✭From what I have experienced no. There is no delay. I tried it on the PTS and it did not make me wait to put in the same name.1 -

Falmer✭✭✭✭I have done that several times. No delay in using same name. Though do remember you have a character delete limit. So don't do it too many times in one day.1
