Should weapon skills have passive synergy's when learned?

Weapon skills are somewhat lacking in power. Maybe if you choose to go a more diverse route and dedicate to building up more than a couple different weapon skill lines, you should be rewarded with dual synergy effects for doing so. You don't get the effect for just putting 1 point in and be done with it, you have to at least pick a Morph and max it out to rank 4 on both skills in order to get that passive synergy.

Let's say you get Destro Staff skill - Destructive Touch and Two-Handed skill - Cleave. It would unlock a new passive applied to Cleave causing your weapon to also strike for additional random elemental fire/shock/cold damage and your Destructive Touch to gain a small radius aoe effect on impact hitting two other adjacent targets.

If you max out Dual Wield skill - Flurry and One-Hand & Shield skill - Low Slash; it gives your Flurry a 30% Snare effect for 5 seconds and your Low Slash hits 2 additional times for 50% of the initial damage.

Resto Staff skill - Regeneration and Bow skill - Volley. Your Volley now heals allies in the circle for an amount equal to half the damage over 3 seconds, and your Regeneration gives some residual healing to others nearby the targets that received the initial Heal over Time.

These are some examples to what you get for learning various weapon skills and taking the time to get their morphs and maxing them out. Think of it as a way your character is learning new ways to apply skills they have mastered and applying them to other means.
