Regular armor set bonus changes making upgrading to legendary pointless?

Right now I find it pretty pointless to upgrade items to legendary stats because the armor set bonuses are changing way too often. It's pretty expensive to buy all the mats and upgrade 9 or 10 items to legendary only for the set bonuses you wanted to be changed again within two months.

Also why are the sets that only require 2 or 3 traits researched becoming so good in the next patch? The 8 trait sets better get some love! Imo there should be a significant difference in power/utility between a 2-trait set and an 8-trait set.

+1 dude. They MUST give us more options to obtain Leg mats or cancel this reworked item set crap. Hirelings also dont bring em consistently anymore. Havnt had a Rosin for 2 weeks now from 2 lvl 3 Hirelings..

It's another change to get a few more of those duped mats out of the economy along with hireling and breakdown nerfs.

Who knows if it will make it to live in its current state, there is significant changes to magicka favoured sets

I only got 5 Rosins since release on my main even if I refined more wood than anything else. The ratio is about 1 rosin to 5 any other legendary crafting mat at least.

Considering that the legendary bonus is not very high compared to the purple it's not a very big problem though.

I agree; the 8-trait stuff is crap considering what it takes to do the research to be able to make it. Those sets need more love.

Wasn't really much point before, the stat gains were not really worth the money invested.

Huh, never really upgraded for the set bonuses, just did the 4 Infused and 4 Divines trait combo. Divines does have a cap too, or so it seems, no point in pushing those items beyond epic quality. As a Templar with 1h + shield, I consistently use only Seducer's and Willow's Path, using one off piece like shoulders as a switch when its day or night for either the 20% to all or the magicka regen.

I don't think I'll ever actually use any of the 8 trait set bonuses, Eyes of Mara for example seems like a joke when Seducer's does the exact same effect, but also applies to Stamina and Ultimate costs as well for a 3pc vs 5pc bonus without the weapon restriction. Orgnum's Scale 5pc bonus looks nice at first glance, but if I'm killing mobs consistently enough then Vampire's Kiss is all the same for a 3pc bonus.
