[BUG] Eclipse + broken new CC system.

The game treats eclipse like a hard CC when it is obviously a debuff.

That means that you cannot target anything that has just broken free of a stun, knockdown, disorient or have immovable active.

Not holding my breath that this will be addressed anytime soon but I just want to let @Zenimax know that the ability is borked.

Can I ask, is this versus NPCs?

I would like to add to this that the new CC system also affects other abilities which it should not. If a character has broken free of a stun, you can't use an ability like piercing javeling on him either because it has a CC component in its mechanics.

I don't think I have to argue how unacceptable this. We should be able to use abilities like javelin, destructive touch, stonefist etc. all the time for their damage component and not rendered completely unable to use them due to a poorly designed CC-immunity system.

I wish they would look at how other games have done CC immunity and get it right. Shadowbane is a great example and was very well balanced. In addition, the dev team published all the particulars for every single skill in the game making for a totally transparent system. This is how stun worked:

    Stun (from Shadowbane)

Stun's Power Cameo "Single Target Stun"
    requires Warding Skill ( 36 )

    Granted: Level 7
    Power Rank: 1 ( Novice)
Flagged As: Spell (Cancels effects which are cancelled by Spellcasting).
Mana Cost: 16 to 55 (at power ranks 1 to 40)
    Casting Time: 1 seconds
    Recycle Time: 0.0 seconds
    Generates Hate: Moderate
Power User Requirements: Player must not be moving when he activates this power.
Mode Required: Either Combat or Non-Combat Mode
    Requires Hit Roll: Yes
Target and Range: Monsters or Players (100 Units)
Can affect caster and group members.
    Removes Effect
Removes effect with "Flight" dispel tag.
Applies Effect(s): (From Power Ranks 1 to 40)
Duration: :09 to :27 seconds (at power ranks 1 to 40)
    Stackability:
    Stack Category: NoStun
    Stack Rank: 3
Stack Rule: Standard (When stack categories and ranks are equal, then the most recently cast spell will only succeed if its spell power is greater than or equal to the existing spell's power).
    Cannot be stunned
Applies Effect(s): (From Power Ranks 1 to 40)
Duration: :03 to :09 seconds (at power ranks 1 to 40)
    Stackability:
    Stack Category: Stun
    Stack Rank: 0
Stack Rule: Standard (When stack categories and ranks are equal, then the most recently cast spell will only succeed if its spell power is greater than or equal to the existing spell's power).
    Target cannot move.
    Target is stunned.
