More banks in more places

Now this may be because I'm lazy, but I would like to see more banks around the levelling zones. Currently, only the "main" city of each zone has a bank (except in Auridon, where Skywatch and Vulkhel Guard both do, for some reason).
I would like to see a bank vault available in every main town (that's about 3 per zone). This would reduce the crowding in banks as well as meaning you don't have to travel so far to get to one. It doesn't even have to have its own building; some places like Port Hunding get away with having a bank in the Marketplace. I would also like to see more stables for the same reason; I don't want to have to travel too far out of my way to feed my horse.

Essentially, every town that has a Mages Guild and a Fighters Guild should also have a bank and stables, so please add banks to:
  • Glenumbra: Aldcroft, Crosswych
  • Stormhaven: Alcaire Castle
  • Rivenspire: Northpoint
  • Alik'r Desert: Bergama, Kozanset
  • Bangkorai: Hallin's Stand
  • Auridon: Firsthold
  • Grahtwood: Haven, Redfur Trading Post
  • Greenshade: Woodhearth
  • Malabal Tor: Vulkwasten, Baandari Trading Post
  • Reaper's March: Arenthia, Dune
  • Stonefalls: Ebonheart, Kragenmoor
  • Deshaan: Narsis
  • Shadowfen: Alten Corimont
  • Eastmarch: Fort Amol
  • The Rift: Shor's Stone, Nimalten
Please also add stables to any of the above which do not already have them.

Thanks for the consideration!

You can always port to a bank city via wayshrine. That not enough for you? How about the coming guild kiosks scattered around where you can buy/sell?

@Enodoc, given that Wayshrines are readily available, I don't see what adding more banks would actually accomplish. You're never further from a bank -- any bank in any zone open to you -- than the nearest Wayshrine. I think it's a non-issue.

It would alleviate overcrowding, be more logical, and save you having to spend money and time running to way shrines. I support more bankers.

If everyone wasn't using the same bank, it wouldn't be overcrowded and wouldn't take 60 seconds + for the banker NPCs to spawn.

Is that just the two on the same level of Elden Root, or is there another one outside of Elden Root?

I would love more banks. I find that using Wayshrines breaks my immersion. I try not to use them if I can help it. It would be great to look on my map and see that there's a bank on the way to my next quest(s).

That's a good point actually. Although Wayshrines have been made lore-friendly, people may choose not to use them, meaning that without more frequent banking and stabling opportunities, they are forever running around the landscape trying to find one.

Meh. I prefer to the number of banks now as it makes towns more populated. If there were banks all over then the main cities would empty out. How is large, bustling city supposed to bustle when it's empty?

My problem is that every time I have to sell it becomes a 20 minute alt-fest as I disseminate weapons and armor to the appropriate crafters and bank materials as I bounce back and forth.

How about reducing the need to bank in the first place? I wish materials worked like guild wars 2, where you could bank them in the field without having to visit a bank. Also stop giving us so much freakin junk, every 3 or 4 quests I notice my inventory is completely full of merchant fodder.

There's enough people in the cities anyway who aren't in the banks. Adding more banks wouldn't really affect this, as those cities are where the shops are. The streets of Bergama, for example, are as busy as the streets of Sentinel. Besides, most "bustling" places (particularly the banks) appear empty to me anyway because it takes forever to spawn such an excessive number of people, NPCs and players alike. More banks in more places means less people in one bank, making the banking experience much better. (Even when the banker finally spawns I can never see them due to the vast number of players all standing inside each other and in front of the banker.)

Well, at least a secondary city could have a bank, not just the main city (Grahtwood being the exception, and perhaps a good example). If there's crafting stations (outside of the special ones you find in the wild), why not a banker, too? Even some of the smallest towns that still have a business or two in the most remote places in Canada will have a branch of a major chartered bank, allowing you to access, say, stuff you have in Toronto while you're in Inuvik.

Agree. I always wondered why there isn't a bank in all towns. There are towns with everything but a bank and/or stables. It's odd.

The field bank is a good idea. Perhaps roaming mobile bankers like the roaming mobile merchants.

i agree with the op, any place that has all craft stations, guilds, stables and stores should have a bank, no bank makes the rest incomplete as a useful hub. i should also add grocers (selling food ingredients) are a hit/miss rarity in hubs.

One example of a town that needs one is Ebonheart. Come on it's the Ebonheart pact and they don't have a bank. The lack of banks near crafting stations and Wayshrines it is why there are just a few good places to park your inactive/crafting toons. Stros M'kai is great. Bel Foyen is the best place in the world. For the Aldmeri Dominion there is...well they suck!

I'd be happy with bankers operating out in the open in some larger villages, like they do in Stros M'kai. No dedicated bank building needed. I find it silly to be in a village like Woodhearth that has at least a dozen different stores/merchants but no bank. That breaks my immersion, because I'm thinking, "Oh, come on, a town full of business and no banker?" I don't propose putting a bank or banker in every village, or even most villages. But it seems unnecessarily annoying to have to travel so far out of my way to bank stuff when I'm in a town that by nature would have a banker.

The issue is we would like more banks in more places due to the overcrowding in the banks that exist currently, and the fact they are very spread out whereas the Guilds and Crafting Stations are in every city. The fact that you can use a Wayshrine to get to those banks that do exist is not the point; I can do my shopping in Bergama, but I still have to port to Sentinel to bank - there should be banks in cities where there are shops.
