Leveling skill trees in VR levels question

orangeman57ub17_ESO
So leveling up skills and skill trees in 1-50 content seemed to go at a pretty easy pace. By the time I was in my low 40s, most of the skills trees I was leveling reached 50. Now that I'm in the VR ranks and have a lot of free skill points, I have been leveling different armor and weapon loadouts. The problem is that the xp gain has been horribly slow. It seems questing has been the fastest way but even that isn't getting me very far. My question: what are some really good ways to level skill trees in VR areas?

You get a lot of XP/VP when you finish a quest that 'unlocks' an area....not sure how better to explain it, but when you change a map location icon from black to white (completed).

What I have been doing is putting 1 or 2 skills that I want to level up on my 2nd bar, and then switch to my 2nd bar when I turn in the quests. It seems to go pretty quickly.

    Skadi Storm-Blade - VR14 Altmer Sorcerer
Brynnhild Valkyrja - VR12 Nord DragonKnight
Haakon Hardrada - VR12 Nord Templar
    Sanguine's Tester (retired)

I don't see the same thing myself; I'm about 3/4's the way through vr1 and my dual wield is now at 26 i believe; it was 6 when i began. I just make sure i have them equipped when turning in every quest and also kill trash mobs along the way.

swing by a fighers guild and grab a weapon with training trait on it, quick 24-26% bonus xp with your skills/skill lines.

if you just want skill xp head to the cliffs of failure in coldharbor, toss on evil hunter from fighters guild line, and run circles killing the mobs. they give roughly the same ammount of xp as a vet mob and die MUCH faster... the downside is no vet xp so you wont level though.

what i do myself usually, is load my bar 1 with 2-3 skills to quest with, put whatever else i need on the bar leveled, bar 2 i load with skills i need leveled and flip to bar 2 to turn in quests. the few skills on bar 1 get xp from the trash, bar 2 gets quest turn ins.

I'll have to try that. Maybe get a full set of gear with training on it and go grind or quest. Thanks for the ideas
