Trait research is the only reason I am still subbed.

Ok so post Vr10 there is nothing to do as far as solo content in concerned having done Cadwells silver/gold and most of the other Vr 1 to 10 quests, if it wasn't for trait research I would unsub until they come out with post Vr10 solo content.

So you have one character at VR10? Level up a few alts. See the world through different eyes. I have five alts currently (one is sort of being saved for when the Brotherhood comes in). Max every crafting profession, gather every lorebook. Still plenty to be done. Or just kill kill kill and make some money for when the next big content update comes and you want to keep going.

Nah but I do have a Vr2 DK but I really dont want to do the content over again, we need new content that the solo player can do.

This goes to show that long term goals like crafting, factions, attunement, etc do work for keeping people in the game.

I knew full well what a MMO launch entitles, that's is why The crafter will always come out on top.

BTW if OP is only paying to keep research going they will probable be doing that until Christmas. I research everything and have played since EA, and right now I 'm less than a month away from starting my last wood research.....this is just wood which has only 48 traits to research

Actually, solo players in MMO's make up the bulk of the subscriber base, and thus the bulk of the income stream.

MMO just means there are other players to interact with on occasion. Most players simply log on, do dailies, gather, grind mobs or whatever, and log off. Sometimes they interact with other players via an auction house, or chat in guild, or trade directly.

On rare occasions they might actually group or do a raid, but those are the exceptions when it comes to total time spent in game for the vast majority of the player base.

MMO does not mean forced grouping. It just means there are other players with whom you can interact from time to time.

You've got to be kidding. ESO has more out-of-the-box solo content than any MMO I've ever played, probably any MMO in existence. Only WoW can compare, and that's only because of several years' worth of expansions.

Solo content will never be enough. No matter how much they come out with. Not trying to be critical of OP or anything. It's just impossible to have new solo content every day/week.

This is why mini games (which crafting/research kind of is) and PvP/AvA is important to see improved and new content in. It has much more longevity.

So what will you do after the traits? Is this an achievement thing for you? Like you'd feel you defeated the game with the traits? Just kind of weird that it's the only thing for you right now.

ZOS should extend the time it takes to research all traits of a single line from 2 months to 2 years. That would definitely keep the subs going!

Please, please no. Artificial inflation of playtime is not happiness. I'd like to master blacksmithing sometime before I finish the game. Otherwise, what's the point? I am so not going to keep up a sub just to research traits. What would I do with them once I learned them?

Cant, wish I could but its been a lag fest since day one for me, so no PvP. I used to go and do some of the quest in off hours away from other players and got all the shards but that's about all I could do.
