Loving VR Changes

1.2.5 has finally made it to EU and I'm loving it. I'm not usually all that complimentary of ZOS, but having played a couple of hours of VR6, I think they've got the difficulty set just about right. I'm happy with it and enjoying it and nobody is going to make me change my mind by telling me that I've got kindergarten skills or surely I can't find it rewarding without really struggling through it. I'm enjoying it. I'm not a masochist. Equally, it's not a faceroll, you can't be too blase or you will die in seconds.

Awesome :) im glad you and others are enjoying it! Hopefully ZOS will eventually release solo content others and myself can get an accomplished feeling from as well.

I'm in the same boat. I've got 4 level V1 characters (one of each class) and i've just been training skills on them because Vet zones were just stupid. Logging on and smashing my head into a brick wall that is the old VR difficulty is not my idea of a fun time. I'm actually enjoying playing through the content now.

I was debating when i was going to let my sub run out and wait for something to get me into the game again. Well this was a good start

Yep have to agree, I played for a couple of hours tonight and ran through 4 complete quest lines and it had a nice flow without feeling the grind having to beat on the mobs for so long (especially those dam Rivenspire Trolls).

This time I felt powerful and wasn't even watching or caring about XP gain, just having fun, although I still had to be careful and block etc I think they got the level just about right, with this patch and the other veteran improvements coming I will certainly re-activate my quarterly sub.

You better be careful. Having fun here is not tolerated and is frowned upon.
    ;)

On I side note, I am glad to hear you are enjoying it. Me and the wife are as well, it was less stressful last night after we both had enough stress at our jobs! I like a game where we are able to enjoy our time together, have to pay attention but it's not over the top.

By the way, we finished all of our Cadwell's Quests Sunday night to have them finished prior to patch but we finished off some zone quests last night and really thought it was balanced a little better.

I'm actually seeing more people in PvE now too, and that's always the best indicator on how things are travelling methinks.
Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...

Not trying to change your mind, but I hate the changes. It went from focus, pacing and a challenge solo to mindless grinding imo.

Hopefully the ghost zones that are VR will now start to feel a little more alive.
All the "hardcore" players can say what they like, I guess many of them have passed it like myself and just feel a little ripped of at the punishment others now get to avoid.
But I think it is good for those that are yet to complete it and make it easier from many to have fun and progress, especially if they were having difficulty before.

I agree, I went from careful crawling and changing up skills on my bar to using 1 bar for everything and no risk. I haven't died once now since the change and honestly I do not see it happening unless i go afk in a dangerous area. Mobs are very little challenge now and I play a templer. I still find magicka is an issue that is about the only thing that keeps me from facerolling the zone now, this is in VR 8

Me too. Saw a ton in VR5 Bankorai. Seems a lot may have just been waiting for something like this to go back to their main

.....not sure whats funny about this post

I love the change too! Was just in the Riften bank and there were actually other players there, also in the crafting area. :) I didn't hear the "It's here" line though, so maybe it's fixed or someone just didn't do that quest at that moment. :)

And i also have incentive to go back and do the quests that i skipped, i only did the cadwell's almanac ones for each zone.

I kinda regret doing only that now.

I like the changes to VR also. I can actually find other players in VR levels 6 - 8 now. Before it felt like it was just me out there.
