"one-time" acces code revisited

since the introduction of the "one-time" acces code i have to enter this code every time i try to login to the game.
and apperently i'm not the only one with this issue. since the official thread has dissapeared without a response from the devs and no mention of this in the "known issues" section, it seemed like a good idea to open a thread. (sorry my bad, was looking in the pc only section)
if you have the same problem, please respond to this thread.
i would like to add that i ONLY have to enter the code when I'M the one closing the game. if i'm kicked out for non-activity or connection drop or any onther reason then the login process works just fine.
