Please help: NB Setup for PvP?

Hi, im looking for some help from experienced NB players concerning (solo) PvP.

Currently, I'm a bit fed up from mit stealthy Templar (vet12)... no damage output and stamina/magicka are used up too fast do maintain dps and mitigation.

Thus, I want to try a NB but have little to no experience with this class (only beta till level 8 or something).

I figured out that it would be a good idea to concentrate on the class abilities as there are some powerful abilities vs. single targets in there.

Then I tought a mix between light and medium armor would be a good idea?

What weapons are synergizing well with a NB? As with every class, staves? Or are melee weapons / bow useful for NB? Is it needed to buff the self healing abilities or are the class abilities therefore "good enough"?

Vampire seems to be a good idea for a NB as it seems to improve the self healing abilities and grants increased movement speed while stealthed?

What race would you recommend? Breton seems to fit quite nicely, or would you definitely recommend the Bosmer/Khajit passives for improved stealth radius?

Thanks in advance! :)

Dark cloak, Impale (ranged morph), and Veiled Strike will be 90% of your damage.

I prefer bow just because it's fun. Others will say dual wield is best...in PvP, I don't have a single bow skill slotted though.
    Reften
    Bosmer (Wood Elf)
Moonlight Crew (RIP), Misfitz (RIP), Victorem Guild

VR16 NB, Stam build, Max all crafts.

Azuras & Trueflame. Mostly PvP, No alts.

Semi-retired till the lag is fixed.

Love the Packers, Bourbon, and ESO...one of those will eventually kill me.

You might want to head over to the Tamriel Foundry forums and check out the NB builds. There are some great resources over there for build advice.

    Thanks to you both...

I'd love to play bow (fits to the sneaky assassin style) but I see on my Templar that bow is underperforming (ok, that's situational).

Will have a look at TF.

    Further advice is welcome ;)

Whatever fits your playstyle there are a lot of ways to go. Resto staff does buff your damage if you are using mostly NB skills.

I thought that veiled strike was going to totally destroy in PvP because I would hit for over 2500 in PvE with it then used it on a few people and it barely dinged them. You have to consider it is mitigated by armor. I'm not saying it is useless but it is something to keep in mind.

Not a PvP wizard but I like to find a good solo fight in Cryo now and again. Solo you need a bar for clothies and a bar for plate wearers. Clothies you can use lots of class melee attacks, ambush, veiled strike etc. Plate you need spell damage that they don't have lots of damage mitigation against. Slows, dots and roots and stuns. Keep alternating never using the same cc twice so they have to use stam to break from it.
