Better Loot System?

I think my one and only gripe about ESO besides the quest bugs has to be the loot system. Now to start , I'm not saying that we should just be given great gear ALL the time but it's a little aggravating when you beat a boss or tough enemy and get 2 gold! I really wish that the bosses and certain instances in the game would reward you with loot worthy of defeating that foe, not 2 gold pieces and rawhide scraps! I can imagine that it wouldn't be any easy task but loot tailored to your level, not your class or preferences (even though that would be great to me), would really make some of the difficult battles worth it. It's discouraging when you beat that big boss or open that chest to find loot that's 10-15 lvls below you or just completely worthless in general.

Are you questing in areas below your level? Most of the public dungeons have decent loot if you explore all the nooks and crannies but you have to look out for chest ninjas.
I don't always drink Skooma, but when I do I go to the Southwall Corner Club. May you walk on warm sands my friends.

Loot was nerfed to the ground in ZOS war against RMT and botters, legit players were collateral damage and one of many injuries we suffered was the loss of blue drops from bosses.

I've looted dozens of such chests, the number of blues and purples I've seen can probably be counted on the fingers of one hand, or maybe two at the outside.

My complaint about loot would be finding armor pieces in creature's far to small to actually have them. Slightly understood when looting cloth clothing, but sets of armor? in mudcraps? really?

Other then that I am satisfied with gold that drops even if it's little as there are more way's to make some gold ingame with trades, crafting or simply selling everything to NPC's.
Love finding chest but most of the time I use found armors/weapons for my crafts.

Couldn't agree more I can see how this creates incentives to craft so YOU have to make your epic gear which can be satisifiying in itself but it really lowers the incentive at least at the higher levels to go out and try and kill epic monsters or repeat dungeons more than a couple times

No I'm not, I'm actually in a lvl 23-25 area as a lvl 20 right now and opened three chest, all of which gave me lvl 14 or lower gear. I got a lvl 20 blue helm drop and 11 gold from a lvl 23 Skeever. Fought the boss who was a lvl 25 and got 7 gold. That's it just 7 gold!!

well I'd say if it was a quest then once you kill boss and turn in the quest you get more gold, so the gold from the boss really isn't the incentive its the gold at the end of the quest.

As to the chests and the drops weapon/armor items for blue and purple should be very rare. And the only reason I say that is it makes crafting that much more valuable to the crafters and sellers of items. Keeps a player economy going and worth while.

the gold drop/rate in the game is alright (imo) because no matter what if they raise the gold drop rate from enemies and/or quests well the price of stuff with just go up to reflect the increase in gold earned for things
When asked what he would do for a Klondike bar. Grand Moff Tarkin said "why I would blow up Alderaan."

I use gold to feed my horses and buy the bank and inv slots at the freaking ridiculously high prices the game charges.

I don't buy mats or items, and I don't charge for crafting items as long as the player supplies his own mats.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

They limited loot rewards so we would depend on crafters to get the items we need.

I'm not saying this is right or wrong, that was just what they said in the beta.

I get why they limited the loot system for crafting and to help the battle against the bots but imho it really sucks for some of us who don't want to put the time into crafting and I've also found that buying crafted gear can be more expensive that buying from a vendor for the same traits and attributes. Even if their not going to up the amount of loot at least being able to tailor it to the person who is getting it would be great. Blizz did it with Diablo 3 and to be honest it got me back into that game. Their loot system for that game was way worse than ESO's when they began. Instead of just generic (this is what you get chest) I would love to have loot that I can use, yesterday for example i'm getting loot that's 10+ levels below what the minimum quest level recommendation is. My choices, try to sell it but since it's so low it's not worth it or hold on to it and decon it for some meager points at the crafting station.
