That was determined not too long ago by a player comparing 2k armor with 1k. They found the difference to be pretty minor.Maverick827 wrote: »Source?
Personally, I think it's a fair tradeoff. You trade a good bit of (permanent) extra armor for one ability slot. If you keep it in the same slot on both ability bars, it'll stay on through weapon swaps, so you don't have to re-summon it. My main qualm is with the way it alters my character's physical appearance. They need to do away with toggled abilities with their current 5 button hotkey limitation.
As its a toggled ability, there is little point to getting it, since you have to waste a slot on your second bar as well to keep it from ending when you change weapons just to activate a skill on your second bar.
Also, it would be near pointless in VR content as every creature has a 90% armor piercing ability.
My testing has shown different results. Perhaps there's just a disagreement on how much mitigation armor should offer, and this person was expecting something ridiculous like 90% mitigation.emeraldbay wrote: »That was determined not too long ago by a player comparing 2k armor with 1k. I've noticed that it only seems to affect male characters, though I'm not sure why they would make that decision.huh, i forgot to check the difference on my female orc.
brb...
-nope, i don't see any difference? is it only with certain races?
That's a very helpful post, actually. Nice to know it affects other races as well, but it still seems to only affect males.kontaktb16_ESO48 wrote: »I startded the same thread not too long ago - it changes the appearence quite drastic. There are some pictures inside to show the changes:

Huh, you're right, so it does affect females as well. However, I don't see how the helmet fix would be related to this, as it changes the characters' muscular frames also.kontaktb16_ESO48 wrote: »
That Khajit there is a female. It is probably due to the "helmet improvements for all characters - especially argonian and khajit". That was mentioned quite a few patches ago. I'll try to find the link.
Well, it certainly seems like it's only noticeable on characters with smaller frames.hey wait, could it be that this only affects characters who have been designed with less than biggest body values? my female sorcerer is the biggest she can get on most if not all of those sliders.
I personally don't mind the fact that it replaces the armor I'm wearing, but it shouldn't replace my character customization as well.I don't use bound armor but I can definitely see how people do not like the look since it completely overrides any custom armor appearances. Sadly I have no real ideas perhaps make it a glow effect of some kind instead?
By the eight, that would be perfect.Maverick827 wrote: »In an ideal world, there would be variations of spells in this game for flavor/style purposes, and Bound Armor could have a couple different implementations.
If there had to be only one look, though, I think something like the True Bound Armor Skyrim mod would be best:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Dz5QbDi5xc

Here's a comparison, for those of you who are curious. My character with and without bound armor.
Actually, my character is male.ShedsHisTail wrote: »
