Should we ask for something like this to be implemented?

So, I finally got back to playing ESO after about a 5-6 month break. Good to see all those high level players and vets out there! Or is it? Seriously I love ESO but sometimes I wonder if there should be an option to hide other players characters, other MMOs have this feature for example AION and it can make things a lot easier. This isn't just a "i'm sick of high level players standing around in low level areas showing off thing" its also a "there are so many people around this object/npc that I can't interact with it" one mega server is fine but the shear amount of players around some things like crafting benches make them impossible to use.

So what does everyone think, should we ask for a "hide other players" option in the interface or not?

In congested areas I certainly want this, stupid Sorcs parking their pets over NPCs making it hard to target a banker when the damned flying thing blocks the NPC is aggravating beyond belief.

"there are so many people around this object/npc that I can't interact with it"

If you know where the object is, then you can interact with it even if your view is blocked by other players, since the key for interacting with players is different than the key for interacting with NPC's (F and E respectively, by default).

its still kind of annoying, sometime in a new area you don't know where the object is, but it also more of a clutter thing. Plus having an option to turn off other pc could help people with lower end pcs so their computer doesn't have to render every character

    Actually no...

The winged twilight blocks interaction, even my own if its behind my character but in line of sight of the object/npc I want to interact with.

Soon as I hit town I cancel my summons and turn off my floaty ball of nausea so that I don't annoy other players.

I don't understand why anyone would be against this, as the op said, it would be an option!

I think people just like the word 'no'.

It should be a simple coding to disable all animations inside banks. If it is not winged pets flapping it is people shooting off fireworks inside. Makes it very difficult to interact with the banker.

Yeah as in the option is there but you don't have to use it if you don't want to

I saw it in use in Age of Wushu and it's actually a really good function, even if you only use it when people are doing daft things like dueling right in front of quest givers.

One thing you can count on is people doing daft things in an mmo. Having a button to hide them is great and imo should be pretty much standard in any AAA mmo.

im vet 12 and i almost never leave cryodiil. but, when i logg on sometimes my home campaign is full or has a lock on it so eso automaticly places me in the area i was last in the pve side untill my que to load back into cryodiil is open. i am not intentionaly trying to show off nor get in any ones view. infact, i feel kind of emberased and out of place seeing all the lower levels come up and stare at me so i allways find a secluded corner spot to kind of hide out in while i wait for my que to load in to cryodiil finally hits and ill be gone.
the only other reason i would come to the lower level areas is for plants i need for my potion making, i sometimes need lower level potions and in addition to that i was thinking of starting to craft my own armor, but, this would indeed require me to gather the lower level nodes and matterials only found in the lower level areas.
not trying to upset or cause problems, just doing normal daily living picking nodes and waiting on the timer and que to allow me back into cryodiil.
    sory for any inconvienance.

I don't have a problem with it, its just that sometime quest givers are blocked and it can cause major slow down on lower spec systems when the computer tries to load and render all the other players. I see it a lot on AION, when other players are turned off you get a lot less graphical lag.

ESO has been open only 3 months. You have little activity on these forums. Post makes no sense.

Sure, so long as we also get stock optional overhead nametags/guildtags, scrolling combat text, minimap, combat log, and other improvements that have been long-demanded, too. Yeah, addons can handle parts of some of those, but are a hassle and dependent on third-party authors to keep updated every single mini-patch and vary in quality significantly. As options, these too have no real reason to be against, but people sure do love that word "no". :(

why does having little activity mean the post makes no sense? I just don't post on forums very often. Yes ESO came out in April, but I was playing Beta in January, Didn't joint beta session again after early February, when game came out spent 2 or 3 days in early access but then had to leave due to exams at school, hence I have technically had a 5 month break from ESO. Does not posting on forums equal not making sense? Your comment is starting to not make sense to me, anyway back to actual topic please.
