I think there should be four type of Runes. Level, Item (jewelery, armor, weapon) Affect and Potency.
Instead we ended up with a cluster that forces 3 Runes to act in 4 ways. Trying to put 4 pounds of do-do in a 3 pound bag always leads to a smelly mess.

Pretty sure this is intentional, to make it less straight forward. I mean, enchanting is an arcane trade, not mixing stones in a bowl.

Ok I can accept that but there should be an easier way to create Glyphs I already have learned. I will have to look for an add on that has a recipe system for Glyphs or worse case create a spread sheet. Crap I hate the idea of a spread sheet, I love crafting but that sounds way to much like real work
