With this FPS issue so out of hand I keep seeing a handful of people say 'I dont have FPS issues'. I see it in zone chat, guild chat, and here. When I press for why - whats different with you, they all stay silent.

So if it is true, you really dont have issues, Please post some basic facts that can lead us as a community to try to limit the pain, and further more the devs may find a clue (cuz so far they seem clueless). If you are just fronting, then please dont we are P/O enough.

Could be anything -

AMD vs Nvidia
16gb vs 4gb ram
Windows 8 vs 7

Lets see if there is a pattern.

I am afflicted:

Duo core 2 3.0
4 gb ram
2 SSD for game and op
gtx650i nvidia

(ya I know.... Po Boy PC)

From my experience I believe it is something to do with memory. I was PvPing with about 15 people and it seemed pretty consistent that the people with 4 GB of ram would get the FPS lag very quickly while the people with 16 GB of ram would take longer to be effected.

My theory is that the memory just keeps building and once it reaches your ram's full load it causes major FPS issues and can only be fixed by logging out and in. The more ram you have, the longer it takes for the FPS issues to hit your computer.

I don't know, could be that 4gb of ram is not enough, but not so sure. Also I try to avoid having anything running in the background, since a few patches back there was a memory leak. I have not read any more incidents about this memory leak, but there are a few who claim that is still there.

Hope you can get your issues resolved soon.

One more thing to note, if you want to post your dxdiag file to the thread, please use the spoiler tag option above the comment box (looks like a backward "P"). Dxdiag files are way too long for a thread otherwise...

I had fps issues, but not yesterday for an odd reason. PvP'ed for hours with no fps drop. But the day before i was like 1-2 fps after 15-20 mins. And i play on EU server so it was not the patch.

So what causes it? I have no clue

    I have

    intel i7 47something
    8 gig ram
    nvidia gtx 770
    windows 7
    a mouse

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Hello there, folks. We'd like to thank you for the constructive intent behind this thread! That said, there is an existing thread/poll available for discussing which systems are having and which are not having the FPS drop issue. You can find this thread here: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/118250/your-cpu-for-those-with-and-without-fps-issues.

Additionally, we'd like to make everyone aware that a hot-fix for performance issues such as the FPS drop is currently being tested. We'll update you on this as soon as we are able.
